I had a great time Friday with the band. I wish they had done a lot more for Southern University Homecoming on Saturday. I didn't eat.

I attended a birthday party here. The cigar bar and restaurant are separate. The atmosphere is contemporary, and the space is clean and large. You can book parties, meetings, and networking opportunities here. I have known the owner and developer of Montecristo, Gerald Coleman, since elementary school. I knew then he would do great things, and he has! Book your next networking event here. You won't be disappointed.Parking: Convenient parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes!

Some of the best food I have ever put in my mouth. Also the music and drinks are awesome. You should for sure check it out if you are in the area. It's close to the baton rouge airport and all the major hotels by the airport.

Grown and sexy vibe. It's not a smokey lounge. Great music! Nice decor. The service and staff was a good experience . Love it and will be back

To comment on the last post I couldn’t get in with my crossover dress casual shoes either and I’m black! lol So they are not racist! They just have a strict old school policy that I really don’t mind!****I’m updating my post. I enjoyed the atmosphere and music, customer service was great too. However, the cigar selection was very limited. Also, since I was from out of town I went to Burlington’s to purchase some dress shoes, so I could get in. I was disappointed when I saw other people wearing tennis shoes or similar shoes to the ones I had on when I tried to enter the first time. I even saw someone wearing a jersey. I understand the no tennis shoes policy but when I’m wearing shoes I can wear with a suit too, and I can’t get in but others that are less dressed than me can is not cool.

I went there with a friend of mine for grand opening a few days ago now I was not dressed to the nines but we were both wearing slacks and button downs the guy at the front door looked us up and down and said we cannot come in because of our tennis shoes. We were not wearing tennis shoes. Now mind you I’m staying at the hotel right next-door and was looking forward to spending my money at the only bar around. We both felt we were not let in because we’re Caucasian. I have rode by a few times and did not see any Caucasians in there. That has been my experience with this place so far

A new & pretty decent spot that I’m rooting for here in the north BR area. Security was on point, good music, food, and vibe. My only issues were the overpriced cigars, the limited selection of cigars, and the fact that the bartender didn’t know how to make an old fashioned. Other than that, give them a shot.
