I wanted to try something new and ended up with a hair encrusted into fish. Eww. I should have turned away when I parked and it smelled like a rotten dumpster outside. This restaurant needs a health inspection.

I usually stick to what I know like the turkey wings, lasagna, baked fish, or fried fish I really never wanted to try the stew chicken and I'm sorry I did 1st off I don't really care for preboil rice it's just super bland ig that's a Baton Rouge thing that type of rice ??‍♀️anywho the chicken ? legs was 1 of mines was a Lil tuff and PLEASEEE YOU HAVE TOO SEASONnnN THE CHICKENSSS If You Gone Be A Soulfood Cafe You gots to do it Right.THE PEACH???? Looking for REAL soul food, This is the place. Good people, good service and great food. Put it in your life and weekly rotation of places to eat at. Heavy plates and they have the homemade punch to wash it down with and it's the truth.

NO! This food was NOT the way soulfood should taste. Crawfish etoufee was disgusting. Potato salad was salty. Smothered pork chops were gross. Bland cheese spaghetti. Red beans and cornbread were just okay. Wasted my money. I don't know if these other reviewers were paid or they just have bad taste, but this was not IT!

1st time going and the food was great. Staff was friendly. I definitely will be back. Oh and the Chitterlings are a must have.

The fish plate was seasoned well, the yams were good too.

I had oxtails(seasoned to perfection) yams and spaghetti and cheese everything was delicious..2/9/22

It was ok the red beans and rice were good maybe ill try back during lunch time through the week I went on a Saturday afternoon

I went there on today because I wanted a soul food meal with green's, candid yam's, and smothered pork Chops. They didn't have the greens or the pork chops so I got baked chicken that looked like it had just been hatched, Candied yams that weren't completely cooked because they was still hard and cabbage on hot red pepper overload. Never again,,,,,,!
