DONT order from this location on the weekends! Panera will be open but the PFT doors stay locked, even during normal pft and store hours. This makes it impossible to pick up your order unless someone from inside lets you in. Totally ridiculous, I wasted $30 just to get locked out and not even get my food.

The sorriest excuse of a Panera that has ever existed. The furthest thing from customer service oriented.

Before I start, I feel the need to mention that this has nothing to do with the actual service workers that were working in that particular Panera. This has everything to do with the corporate Panera. It was very difficult to find a way to share my disappointment. There was no contact link in the normal website like any other company would have and I had to spend more time than I should have trying to find a way to email someone, and to no avail. This review will have to do and I hope it reaches someone higher up.I am extremely disappointed in the new Panera menus that released on April 4th. Only 2 of the new releases had dietary friendly options. I know too many people, myself included that are vegetarian or pescetarian that cannot enjoy most of the releases. Additionally, flatbread pizzas were taken off, along with many salads. These, again were some of the only things on the menu that I could enjoy. There were signs leading up to April 4th around the Panera and through emails that advertised "new" and "enhanced" menu items, not an entirely new menu. The pick 2 option is useless. You used to be able to get a few dollars off if you wanted a whole sandwich, and a cup of soup or half a salad. That would cost around $15. Now, you can only buy half sandwiches with another small item for the same price. Speaking from experience, half a sandwich and a soup is not filling, and for $15 I am better off going anywhere else. However, this Panera is located in the engineering building of LSU's campus, and any other fast food place--on campus or not--is at least a 10 minute walk. This and the new menu layout is literally targeting college students that are mostly already low on money AND time, forcing them to give in either to walk the distance or spend the money. Personally, I would like to see a different fast food restaurant here in the future and will be avoiding the chain until some change is implemented.

I go here for my sip club membership and really don’t have any problems. I really recommend ordering in advance especially when school is in session because things are very busy and you may have to wait 30 minutes on an order especially if you get food because it’s so many people. They should really consider adding either another food spot in PFT or make Panera bigger with it being the only place for food in that building.

The food is decent at best and service is horrible. Employees always have a rude attitude and treat customers poorly.

Only adding a second star because one of the workers was polite and quick about helping me once she realized there was an issue. I went there around 4:30 expecting it to be pretty empty before the 5pm rush. There was only 3 customers in the store, but one was at the register and two were at the kiosks. This wouldn’t be a problem if they had the other 4 kiosks working… I ended up ordering at the register after another customer came in before me. When I asked for a whole baguette (this is technically a bakery, mind you) and a drink I was told “I think we have those.” I got my drink almost immediately then waited almost 30 minutes as the customers before me were served and a few that came after me. This whole time they were over staffed (3 people in the front haphazardly labeling things and wiping counters that were already clean) and about 5 in the kitchen. A different employee finally asked what was wrong and checked on my order. She informed me they didn’t have any whole loaves because they had already been sliced. This could’ve been communicated to me in a minute or two if the original cashier checked. I asked for a refund and she informed me she would need to get her manager. The manager brought me 7 sliced baguette sections and told me one baguette is 6 pieces so she gave me an extra. I accepted, but in hindsight I wish I had declined and asked for a full refund after the fiasco I went through. This is far from the only issue I’ve had, but I keep coming back because there’s only two consistent food options in PFT and BEC. Even if you schedule an online order it frequently takes 10-20 minutes longer than scheduled. If they can’t keep up with scheduled orders they shouldn’t accept them. They run out of stuff all the time and the waiting area is entirely too small considering how long orders take. I’m not trying to be hard on the staff but I work in the food industry for minimum wage plus tips and I could practically work blindfolded and do a better job than some of these employees.

I've ordered from Panera almost every school day for the past two years. Three weeks ago I was yelled at by an employee on two separate occasions - both of which I HAD paid for my drink and was filling it up at their fountain drink area. Even if I had been taking a drink without paying for it - why would yelling have been the solution?? I have cancelled my subscription and won't be eating there ever again.

Some* staff has a bad attitude and yelled at my friend twice for using her cup from home for drinks even though she pays for the sips club. I rather buy a drink from the vending machine because the sip club perks are not worth it now.

The wait times are ridiculous and at random times. I had to wait an hour at 2pm, order ready at 3. One girl ordered at 1pm during the rush and waited. It was so packed so she waited outside. After a while she goes back to check and they say it’s still not ready. 2 hours later the manager says someone else took the food and there was nothing she could do. No refund nothing. I speak up for the girl and the manager throws attitude at me. The rudest customer service. We can’t wait in a tiny cramped restaurant for 2 hours standing. With how overpriced the food is, the girl should have received a refund or remake. I won’t be revisiting.

The food tastes bland at best and processed and disgusting at worst. The managers are mean and charge people for a cup of water. Who does that? Theyre making money. That isn't a big loss at all. That's scumbag policy.

The prices are asinine. LSU the only reason we eat here is because we have nowhere else to go.It is good quality food though and the ordering is nice... but I mean... the price. Why is a meal at least 33-50% more here???Also- the drinks- they sweeten all of them to ridiculous levels.I wish I didn't have to hand over this much money to this company, but LSU leaves no other good choices to spend paw points around PFT.So sad...I wish LSU would protect us from this sort of price gouging.

This spot, on campus, is really rough. Sometimes they clearly get overloaded and orders take over 40 minutes.

The food quality was good! Wait time was great for early morning. What alarmed me is that as soon as one fo the customers walked out of the door, the younger woman working this morning was openly talking smack about him because he used a card? Other than the attitude, this place is alright.
