Absolutely great experience and choice for dinner. I had the blue crab claws sautéed, slaw and blackened mahi mahi with grilled cauliflower. Topped it off with the Blueberry Cheesecake… 😋😋

We visited Baton Rouge from out of town and were looking for some good, local cuisine. This place was wonderful. The fried crawfish tails were soooo good.

We had reservations for a party of about 30. We didn’t have to wait to be seated. Our waitress was on point.

Without a doubt this is a must stop place to eat at. The food not only was delicious (Etouffee), but the proportions were worth the price. Our waitress Shayla was very friendly, professional, and attentive!

The food and service was awesome. I will definitely come back. The bartenders did a great job on the drinks as well

The food was awful. The restaurant was dirty. I have no idea why this has good reviews on google.

I arrived at Parrain's on a Saturday at 5:45 pm . At 8:00pm we were still not served . Tables around us were served before us . We arrived to the area first .

In the last 6 months this place has gone down. Cold and old burnt food. I had my food delivered due to being in a hotel I asked for tarter sauce . didn't get that no forks to eat the food with. when I open up the box with food. the stuffed shrimp weren't burnt and soft like it had been sitting there for a while. This is not the first time it's been totally disappointing.

Our friends from Baton Rouge brought us an Australian couple to Parrain for some authentic Cajun seafood. I'd been recommended to try catfish and it did not disappoint. So fresh and tasty, accompanied with shrimp, that was also crispy and fried to perfection. My husband had the New Orleans BBQ shrimp, but was unsure of the spicyness of the sauce, so a sample was brought out for him to try before he ordered, he said it was delicious.

ONLY based on service. I went there tonight, a Tuesday, and the service was awful. I asked a french 75 w NO gin, blanco tequila instead. The waitress only came back to ask if we were ok w prosecco vs champagne. We were fine w that substitution. We get the receipt and we were charged $11 for "botanist"???? And $8.50 for a french 75. Turns out we had gin the whole night w prosecco vs house champagne w blanco tequila. Now you know alcohol has different effects on people...the manager kept making excuses for this alcohol mistake as well as the bill. She took no ownership over the whole ordeal. If you plan on going to Parrains, please go on the weekend, bc the week day shift is insane and inconsiderate of the customers well-being.

Good, authentic creole cuisine in wonderful locals' restaurant. This place is a local favorite and we are so happy to have found it! No fuss casual with classic Bayou flair. We had the Boudin balls, stuffed mushrooms, gumbo, dirty rice, and the fried seafood platter. We hurt ourselves. Good food. Give it try, you will enjoy it!
