The food tastes horrible, I'm not saying this to be a jerk. The food is nasty. I had the white beans over rice with green beans and potato salad it was flavorless. The sausage link was ok, but it's hard to mess that up. I ordered the Chicken Jumbalaya (which had no chicken in it btw) and it tasted like it was 3 days old. The jambalaya had sausage slices in it. I took 2 spoons of it and ended up throwing everything away. I should have known better because when I walked in, the entire restaurant was empty on a Saturday. That was my warning sign, but I continued. I do not recommend the food here at all

The food was truly questionable 1st this is Louisiana and to serve swai (Chinese catfish?) Is an slap in my face as an native of Louisiana bread and born That’s y I never eat at an restaurant that serves swai nor do I sale it at mine If I had known I would have walked out 2nd shrimp Fettuccine which wasn’t fettuccine it was ghetto penne pasta the sauce I really couldn’t get a feel for it and maybe the shrimp was mushy 3rd the corn was dry no taste no butter 4th the red beans (smh) Now the potato salad , corn bread and crawfish pie all was great Now when u walk in the door nice and clean The customer Service ship outstanding But whoever is the owner of Rice and Roux U need to do Bet-R with ur Recipes cause I’m sorry to say I won’t be back

If you get the fish ask for them to drop it for at least one extra minute. Potato salad is mashed potatoes Red beans and rice and jambalaya with sausage a d chicken is good.

Rice and Roux is one of our favorite places for jambalaya and gumbo. These dishes have lots of meat and flavor. The meals are very reasonably priced and the service is fast. They truly appreciate their customers and it shows in their friendly attitude.
