Always a pleasure here but this time was noteworthy. I just had to start a gluten free diet due to an allergy and this was my first time at a restaurant trying to order following that. My server, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten, was extremely patient, helpful and understanding. Also props to the kitchen staff for taking extra precautions and answering all questions. Accommodations like this should never go unnoticed!

Very nice restaurant. The food was good. I ordered the ice cream and it is not a whole scoop for $5.00 and it was full of ice.

Front door rug was dirty.. ..
Animosity between workers in front of customers.. .
Dirty blender behind bar before usage. Before opening the entirety of the place.

I ordered pickup so can’t really rate service and atmosphere, but the place was hopping when I arrived, and the very pleasant staff had my order ready to go. The crunchy and CA rolls were good, and the salmon zest roll was excellent. We requested smaller pieces, and the chef accommodated, and it was honestly perfect. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love this restaurant. I have ate at every sushi place in Baton Rouge and can say, honestly, Rock-n-Sake is the best. The price is about average for sushi. With drinks and appetizers I typically spend around 120 (including 20% tip). From appetizers to dessert, you will enjoy it.

Yellowtail collar is usually a go-to for me and this one was ok rather than as great as it could be. Generous but Korean flavors and undercooked didn't make it one I'd want to travel back to eat again.Yellowtail nigiri was good, generous slices, rice was good but smaller in size....which isn't a bad thing...I do love perfect rice and don't mind 15% more grams of it underneath my nigiri. My buddy ordered some rolls and they were good and fresh-tasting.Service from the liquor bar was not so great.Service (our server) seemed more interested in the TV than in looking at guests in the eyes, confirming orders, maybe a bit pompous. I'd visit again if I were certain to have a more service-committed "bartender."Music was loud and we arrived early...maybe 4pm....they had just reopened for dinner service.

One of my absolute favorite sushi restaurants. I love every rolls I've had here, really creative and tasty sushi. The ambience is nice too, and the service has always been good. The only downside is the limited lunch hours.I'm a huge fan of the Voodoo Queen and the Salmon Zest rolls, though the Philly is a good standby.
Parking: There's almost no parking in front of the restaurant. You have to know to go behind it and park in the open areas beneath the Interstate. These areas are not well-maintained, so be careful driving there.
