I live in Texas but work in Louisiana a few times a year. I LOVE Cracklins. This place was on the way to the airport so I bought a pound to take home. I don’t know if it was the meat that was spoiled or the grease they cooked them in but they were awful. Stale, kind of sour tasting. They were so bad I threw them in the trash. The place was packed so maybe they were having an off day.

Turkey wings are good but boudin isn’t. I tried their links first time, couldn’t eat it, threw it away. Tried boudin balls this time, they tasted better but I didn’t finish the 3. Meat pie I took one bite and spit out. Wasn’t seasoned at all.

Got the stuffed Boudin balls and chicken cracklins. The chicken cracklins were the best I have had anywhere, and the boudin balls were up there too. Services was great too, and a good number of tables to sit at too. Can’t wait to come back.

Not very welcoming since new people are in there . You are not greeted and last in back that is making food called me a gal to get my attention . Not excuse me ma’am or anything respectful. She called me gal like I’m her slave. I will never spend my money there again .

What once was arguably the best place for good boudin and cracklin in Baton Rouge is nolonger. Cracklins aren't supposed to be deep fried in a deep fryer, that leaves the cracklin rubbery. The process of adding water when cooking the fat a high temperatures is to make the skin harden. It's impossible to recreate the wheel.

Went to Ronnie's Boudin & Craklin off Forida Blvd. for a little lunch with a coworker. I got 6 cheese stuffed boudin balls , and my friend got the Firiday fried catfish plate with fries. The Bballs were amazing as usual..My friend enjoyed his Cat plate also. When I go back I'm trying the chicken craklins, I hear they are great. It was 1230pm but we got our food quick and the service was great.
I can honestly say I travel this state and Ive had boudin from Houma, Morgan City, Lafayette and that whole area including Henderson, Krotz Springs to Opelousas and on to Lake Charles.
Each boudin is unique in its own way and I can say this smoked boudin here is legitimate and can compete with any boudin in the state. The plate lunches are delicious, and the prices for a fact edge out and beat Billy's or Herberts on boudin per pound. Now in general the price of cracklins per pound is astronomical but if you want a treat, go for it.
If you're reading this and truly understand what a good smoked boudin is like or cracklins or a pasta & sausage lunch.. Look no further, hats off to this hidden gem. I came here many years ago and recently rediscovered it and I'm glad I did.

I love coming here for Ronnie’s Smoked Boudin and Chicken cracklings {IF they’re fresh}, however, WHOEVER is back there on HOT grease duty need to fall back when dropping the Pork cracklings!!!! The Pork cracklings be EXTRA HARD, EXTRA BURNT, EXTRA NASTY!! Y’all gotta do better, and get somebody else to cook the Pork Cracklings, be around here wasting people money on burnt food.
Best boudin in the city. I’ve loved Ronnie’s since they were in the old location. I stop every time I’m in the area.
Every time we visit relatives in LA, we try and stop here. I enjoy their boudin a lot, very time my grill is on we are cooking boudin. The service was excellent only complaint there wasn’t any frozen boudin.
Exceptional service from the staff! The food was simply perfect. Thank you for sharing the culture. Loved it.
Seasoned cracklins was very hard, stale and had a burnt taste. A waste of my money. Will not go here again.
