Rue Beignet was a surprisingly flavorful place to get good Louisiana beignets outside of the French Quarter. The service was awesome. The owner, Yen, (¥) was personable and made sure my hospitality experience and tasty food order was top notch. I ordered the beignets and a hot latte and all were made to perfection (finger beignets were also added to my order at no charge). When my order arrived at my table, the presentation was so beautiful , I, at first, did not want to eat them because they looked to pretty. 🤣 Anyway, I would definitely return when I’m back in Prairieville.
Yen was so nice to us out of towners and made some awesome beignets and fresh coffee at 3pm! Will have to make this a mandatory stop when going between NOLA and Baton Rouge in the future

Today is my little girl’s birthday, we went in and ordered a small order of toes, and the owner ended up making her a beignet in the shape of a 9 and another beignet with a candel in it, he played Happy Birthday for her on the piano and sang, he also lit the candle for her to blow out. The beignets are always delicious and he is always beyond nice whenever we go but this definitely topped everything! Thank you so much for making my sweet girl’s day even more special ❤️

We stumbled on this spot during our road trip through Louisiana and instantly fell in love! The beignets are beyond incredible—soft, pillowy, and perfectly sweet. While we were waiting, the owner surprised us with some “fingers”-style beignets and even showed off some juggling skills—such a fun, unexpected moment that totally made our day 🥹.
