I moved from Slidell to Baton Rouge 2 years ago. I can not believe it took me so long to find this place. I was a little skeptical at first because when I called the number no one answered. But when I looked on Google, they said they were open, so I just took a ride and I am so glad that I did. They did not disappoint me. I usually don't order potato salad from other places because I'm picky about my potato salad and everybody don't know how to make potato salad...
The wife and I found Smokey Watsons today. I’m always on the lookout for smoked brisket, and Smokey Watson did not disappoint. Loved every bite. We also ordered the ox tail. I’ve never had smoked ox tail before and now I’m spoiled. Delicious! Smoked Mac and Cheese is a must have. Just finished off the leftovers for supper and I’m looking forward to the next time.
For the last few weeks I have had reservations about trying Watson’s. Only because of my experiences with some other restaurants here in Baton Rouge. Well, baby I’m here to tell y’all! It’s A1! Great customer service, good price and good food. I’ll be returning soon!
