Soji is good, with inventive but not superlative food. The ribs are an entire meal and the sushi is reasonable.Unfortunately, they've stopped opening during lunchtime.Parking: Parking along Government is always iffy. Sometimes you have to park in another business or on the street.

Best restaurant I've been to in Baton Rouge. Food was unbelievable and atmosphere was hip. Boyfriend raved about the food as well, we can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. Definitely recommend!

The atmosphere is fantastic, but the food is not at all worth it, nor is it consistent in terms of quality. The food is overpriced and not very good. The fried rice is strange and tastes of citrus, really nothing majorly East Asian that registered to me over the more Latin-inspired twist. The salmon sushi I had was strangely warm and tasted sour. My coworker who ordered the same nigiri platter said the same thing about hers. If I wasn't in somewhat polite company (love you guys), then I would've spat it out. Next time I come in, it will simply be to drink and chat and maybe to have some of the wings if I get hungry. The service is phenomenal, though, and kitchen staff turn out dishes reliably. Cocktails are fantastic and worth a happy hour trip. Atmosphere is super fun and encourages you to have a great time. I would recommend this place for a date or a night out with friends or coworkers. What would I like to see from Soji? More traditional Japanese and/or Chinese offerings with less of a twist (too much citrus and cilantro on the menu and nowhere to hide from it) and better sushi and sashimi options. You will not be happy coming here to seek out raw options.Parking: The parking lot is small and poorly lit. You may have to park elsewhere and walk down the sidewalk, but it isn't too bad.Kid-friendliness: Not at all kid-friendly. This is a cocktail and happy hour-type joint.

Ate here the afternoon of Mardi Gras day. We ordered several different rolls that were all wonderful, and a mango salad that was fresh and flavorful (but could have used a bit more mango). Loved the booth, relaxing atmosphere. Very pleased.

Nice atmosphere, however the parking lot was god awful. Service was slow. Server didn’t seem to care about serving us. This was the worst sushi and fried rice I’ve ever had.

On the positive side, our server was excellent. She provided very good service. They are willing to turn Vegan anything you choose from the menu.Unfortunately, the food was awful. We had Drunken Noodles (it has meat) and the one vegan option on the menu the Mapo Cauliflower. They both tasted the same. Chargrilled!. It was a taste of old burned oil, and it seemed that they cooked everything in the same pot. Both dishes looked dark with chargrilled stuff on it. See pictures (Zoom in).We were shocked at how bad the food was. It's been a few hours now, and after eating ice cream, I still have that awful taste in my mouth. We won't be coming back. I didn't see Asian cooks in the kitchen. Could that be the problem?

I really wanted to enjoy this place, but it left me wanting more. The flavors I was expecting really weren't there. The atmosphere and the the service was okay, but I really wasn't impressed with the flavor of the dishes. A solid three thumbs up out of five. ??????

I had high hopes for this restaurant but it kinda fell flat for me. The food was alright but nothing phenomenal. I got the pork katsudon and it was lacking in flavor in my opinion. I also ordered a Diet Coke and never received it so service was kinda iffy. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice I just wish the food stood out more. Also, the parking lot is small and slightly inconvenient.

Restaurants ok when you dine in, however take out is a JOKE. I don’t mind spending $20-$25 for a meal but when it comes only filling 1/3 of the container and undercooked then we have a problem. Do not recommend.

Went for my birthday dinner on 1/31, the food was really good, as well as the drinks. The service started off a little rough, but the owner stepped in and made my night really special!

The experience was very nice. The server offered drinks comparable to my palette as opposed to what was on the Happy Hour menu. The food was good as well. I will definitely be going back there.I will probably request a table as opposed to the high boy tables because I like for my feet to be on the floor, not dangling.
