Wonderful experience at Sullivan's during Baton Rouge restaurant week. Our server was on top of everything, checked on us numerous times and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious. Overall we had a fabulous evening.
The crabmeat stuffed shrimp I ordered had absolutely no flavor, other then the butter they were floating in and the shrimps were tough. This was a very disappointing dining experience.
Food was great service was great. Tables were chipped. Holes in the cushions on the seats. Very overpriced for what you get in my opinion.
Our server, Mandy made our 8 year wedding anniversary so special! She went above and beyond! She is the absolute best server ever.
We made a late reservation for the NYE experience. That was WASTED! Our RSVP was for 10:00 we were seated at around 10:20. NO ONE even approached our table for 15 minutes after we were sat. No water was even given. The restaurant was not overly busy at this time either. We ordered the caviar deviled eggs as one of our appetizers. DO NOT waste your time on these! They were VERY dry and may have had a spec of caviar on top COMPLETE waste! I ordered the Dirty Bird Martini...the waitress did tell me most people do not like it however I tried it. It was not good sent that back! My scallops were so over cooked they were dried out! Very disappointed in our meal. We didn't even stay for the midnight toast. Just left.
Great food! Celebrated birthday and New Year's Eve with family. Service was attentive. Cowboy Ribeye was delicious!
We went for NYE dinner with family. Wine and spirits that were listed on menu were out of stock. They had to make multiple substitutions for popular menu items. The main courses were served to us and but the sides never came. Once the sides did come, we were already done eating our steak, and they were the wrong sides. Sever told us kids burger doesn't come with cheese, but the menu he handed us literally read “cheeseburger”. Normally we'd let this slide, but to hold a deposit for a reservation ($25 per person) while being out of stock for items normal items and understaffed in unacceptable. The food is entirely too expensive for anything other than a quality experience.
This is a great place for Happy Hour Drinks & Appetizers but nothing more. Cowboy Ribeye was very flavorful but way too greasy. The Lobster Mac was actually pretty good. Calamari was not crispy enough and on the chewy side. Service: Literally 5 Hostess standing around talking to each other but not one greeted us. Then we check in for our reservations and one just pointed us to the area. An escort would've been the proper way to address a guest with reservations especially since they were all available not doing any type of work. If you are looking for a five star dining experience, this is not it. Casual eating yes but not five star dining.
The hostess staff were a bit UGH. But they were overwhelmed because the Christmas rush and all reservations were an hour behind. But overall the food was great... highly recommend the filet and Brussels sprouts
Absolutely the worse food I have ever put in my mouth. The service was pathetic and the manger even more so. A dozen LA oysters were over 40.00 with a very misleading menu. Not only were they over priced, but they were the size of a quarter and 1/4 were spoiled. There is a reason this over priced place is in a run down shopping center behind a Hooters. It’s the best they can do. I learned my lesson and will not be back. You can get a better dinner and service at a McDonald’s for a fraction of the cost.

We were there at 3:15 PM on a Monday. That's not going to be a busy time for the restaurant, and it wasn't. In any event, we got the full attention of everyone in the restaurant. The food was great, the wine selections (and the sommelier) were great, service was spot on. So why the mixed bag of reviews in places like Yelp? It's evident that not everyone working in the restaurant as a lifer. For a restaurant like this in a big city like Chicago, waiters and other staff often have long-term positions, sometimes lifetime positions. Since we are not always dealing with the "professional" waiter in Baton Rouge – a college town – and maybe there are some other potential areas for falling off, management needs to stay vigilant to ensure that folks who visit this restaurant – especially when it's crowded – get the treatment we got yesterday.
Celebrated my husband's birthday with a fabulous dinner. Everything was delicious. I'm a fan of the sweet basil dressing for life. Our bone in ribeyes were cooked to perfection. We laughed, ate and drank to our hearts content. Thank you for making his 65th celebration a memorable one.
The restaurant itself was beautiful and had a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The food was decent — I'd rate it a 3.5 out of 5, mainly due to the temperature of the dishes and the inconsistency in how the steaks were cooked. Our waitress was friendly but tended to overshare a bit, which made the experience feel slightly less professional. I also noticed that the dining room could have been cleaner. While we did feel a bit uncomfortable being stared at by other guests (something outside the restaurant's control), overall, we still had a good experience. The ambiance and setting made it an enjoyable evening despite the few hiccups.
As always, the food was OUTSTANDING. Drinks took a while. Actually, more than a while. We took an Uber so we COULD drink. It was kinda wasted because the drink service was so slow. The restaurant was about half full. No big tables. Kitchen appeared fully staffed. Nobody at the bar. We did half a couple of drinks at the bar before we got seated. Great service. Great drinks. I'm not sure if this had anything to do with our waitress. She was hopefully trained, but damn, she forgot EVERYTHING she was taught. She knew about 1/5 of the menu. Couldn't open a bottle of wine, I had to open it. Left for 20 minutes, didn't see her. I'm glad the food was great but Ruth Chris might be my next choice.
Service was top notch. Steak was very good, right temperature. Could have come out faster given they weren't very busy on a Tuesday night. Wedge salad was outstanding. Asparagus was very good, large stalks and therefore not as tender as the younger stalks.
