I love this place. This is the freshest Japanese food you can get let alone on a fast food or pizza budget. Their roe sashimi is a steal.

I ordered food from this place and when I received it. There was a live roach crawling around in the container with my food. I could see it crawling on top of my gyoza. When I called and told the restaurant what happened? They said "I'm sorry I don't know how that happened. I saw the roach on the bag but when i looked again it wasn't there so I packaged it anyway!! " I AM DISGUSTED AND I AM CALLING THE HEALTH DEPARTMEMT.

Notes: 1) been here a few times 2) all have been delivery/ pickup Pros: 1) quick service 2) okay food 3) ambiance is good 4) price was pretty worth it Cons: 1) most of the food tastes the same after some time Rating: 4.5/5 I have only been here to pickup or have gotten delivery from this place. The actual store looks nice on the inside, I like the setting. The service for pickup was good and I got my order ready within 20 minutes. The same goes for delivery as well. The food is what I had to take off for; however, it could be just what I ordered. The taste of the fish was kind of overwhelmed by the taste of the rice. I think that the rice was very good. However, I could not really taste the salmon, the tuna, and the eel. The initial taste was good but you can tell that the rice taste was a bit much. I may need to try a special roll before I can fully take off a point for it. I would recommend this place, especially for the price and the quality that you get. I need to try the special rolls and eating inside to probably get a good grasp of how it actually is. However, pickup and delivery is pretty worth it; especially the maki combo.

I have been here many times. They seem to do a great delivery business! We like the sushi there and visit often. Reasonably priced and a nice quiet place to just eat and not be bothered. Casual atmosphere.

If I could leave zero stars I would. First of all their menu doesn’t mention half the stuff they put in their sushi. Ordered mine without avocado and cucumber thinking that’s all I have to ask for them not to put on and get it and it’s covered in spicy Mayo. Crunchy rolls covered in spicy Mayo. And they don’t say that on the menu. Also hibachi wasn’t even cooked like normal hibachi and steak smelled like it was going to give me food poisoning. Didn’t even look like steak. So all around would never try this place again. GO TO SUSHI MASA. Much better tasting and quality food.

I've eaten at most of the sushi restaurants here in Baton Rouge, and Sushi Village is definitely in my top three. I've been eating here for nearly ten years now. Very good, high quality sushi at mid quality prices. I've never had a bad experience and have enjoyed everything that I've eaten. The employees are all very mindful and pleasant. The atmosphere is relaxed, never too packed or loud in my experience. The food tastes very fresh and I've even seen an employee running across the street to Fresh Pickins' for more fresh vegetables.Next time you get sushi in Baton Rouge, give Sushi Village a chance. Neither your taste buds or wallet will both regret it!Vegetarian options: no shortage of meat and dairy free options.Kid-friendliness: Haven't seen any heavy drinking or anything that may not be okay around kids.Parking: Plenty of parking, and another parking lot very close-by on the off-chance the parking lot is full.Dietary restrictions: Shouldn't be difficult to find something to eat for any dietary restrictions.

Absolutely delicious! With little workers, the restaurant seemed to be run with ease. They were very attentive and pleasant! My brother and I got a great deal on our dinner and left very satisfied with the overall experience.

Food is always good and the staff is very friendly. The golden roll and Hawaii roll are our favorites.

Disclaimer: I am an independent reviewer. I just randomly order from a local areas and tried it. No bias or paid by anyone to review this restaurant. I am also not a professional food critic. I only review base on what I have ordered. My orders: 1 combination shusi and sashimi and a shrimp fried rice.Location:Outside: the place is running down, sidewalk with missing tiles. In side: the restaurant has basic setting, both cook and host/ waiter has t-shirt on.Food:1. Presentation: it was ok, since I ordered togo. This doesn’t count as much. The sushi and sashimi serve with a small salad, 1 cup of miso soup. My sashimi and sushi was not at it best quality. I wouldn’t said it not fresh but it appeared that it was not defrost right. the texture of the fish either break apart when I pick it up by a chop stick or chewy. Again, the fish is the soul of the meal but it has failed. The fried rice even worse. The rice was over cooked prior to fry. The rice was soak in oil. The flavor was plain. I got about 5 large shrimps in the fried rice ; At least the shrimps were fresh.Overall: This is like a togo place that you want to stop and grab togo. The price is cheap. My total meal cost $34 tax included.
