We had a party of five reservation. We were greeted by our server very promptly. She took our drink orders and came back to take our food orders about 10 minutes after. Our drinks come out. Everything is fine with the drinks. 10 minutes. Pass 20 minutes pass after 30 minutes pass we asked the waitress about the two appetizers that we ordered, she said they'll be coming out shortly. The place was empty besides two other tables, so we just couldn't wrap our heads around why appetizers would take 30. After 35 minutes, the appetizers came out. Mine were absolutely delicious. The char broiled oysters were fantastic! You've really got to try them. I definitely 10 out of 10 recommend. The truffle chips are also delicious. I would ask for extra sauce on the chips or on the side. Another 30 minutes pass so we ask where our entrées are she said they will be out shortly 10 more minutes pass then they come out. My food was lukewarm but so downright delicious. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the risotto was creamy and packed with flavor. The crawfish in that risotto were huge and plentiful. The service was painfully slow, so much that it almost made us late for our other reservation. The food however was fantastic! I'd say give yourself 3 hours for dinner and enjoy. WOW! We had the best experience here at Tallulah Crafted Food and Wine bar. Our server Caitlin was the absolute best. She showed extensive knowledge of the menu and was able to recommend items catered to our taste. The ambience was breathtaking and we were able to experience high quality foods without the hassle of leaving the hotel. We are looking forward to our next trip down and each time we would like to work with Caitlin. Thank you so much for being a joy Caitlin!!!

Stopped in with the family. The atmosphere is amazing and the seating is better! It was very busy tonight due to 2 events causing the kitchen to be backed up. I do understand this so I patiently waited. The hostess informed me of the wait. There was a bar table available so my husband and I got a drink and sat at the table. Others occupied seats open at other tables. The hostess bypassed them and came to our table to inform me that she did not seat us and we couldn't order food (she had already informed us the kitchen was backed up). I told her others sat as well and I only got a drink from the bar wasn't planning on ordering until she came to get us. Why did she pick us out of all of the others seated. The next issue was the knats. My husband got a whiskey which is where they swarmed. When the food arrived I was too grossed out to eat, packaged it up to leave. When the waitress brought my to go box she made the comment "oh my it's a little infestation". I asked for my ticket, typed this review and left. It's really sad because what I did consume lamb chops and scallops with risotto was perfect. It's very rare to get a risotto that is not overcooked. Other than the comment the waitress was attentive. After this no return!!!! My husband never complains and made the comment if they are at our table like this I would hate to see what the kitchen looks like. Wish I would have taken a picture before leaving.
What a blessing to have this restaurant and bar as your hotel in-house eatery! Above all, the service team is superb and very down to earth. Every time I visit the Bayou, they make me feel right at home. Thanks for the years of service!Ah, and the menu changes are welcomed, albeit now many of the wines I prefer are only by the bottle.
