The food is not great. The jambalaya was not seasoned at all. The green beans were sweet. My family and I didn't enjoy at all as bad as I wanted to. I wouldn't recommend personally, but someone else may like it. The service was good.
A tad salty but overall a plus
Hospitality of this place was amazing. Felt truly authentic as well, all the way down to the staff. I left feeling like part of the family. Food was amazing. I've been trying different gumbos and jambalaya all over town this week and this place did not disappoint. Definitely one of the best I've had, ever.
It was my first time eating here and the jambalaya was too mushy! It has big chunks of chicken that looks like it had been pulled from old chicken and the sausage was old too! The white beans weren't great and I think it's a bad idea to put green salad on a plate with food they someone may have to microwave later! My daughter had the red beans and rice plate. They were had and not creamy, like beans from Louisiana is known to be! Overall, I have went to cook-offs and had better jambalaya from amateur cooks that was delicious, but this jambalaya doesn't even make my top 5 or 10. Even, the stuff in the box is better than this jambalaya! I gave 2 stars, 1 for the green salad and 1 for the price!

Awful. Seafood gumbo was fair at best. The jambalaya was like eating glue with over cooked chicken one star is not low enough.

Great place to either pickup jambalaya to go or dine-in! The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was very fresh and delicious. We ordered the jambalaya and pastalaya and both were fantastic.

Hospital food. Got a plate of jambalaya and it was just a plate of rice with a couple pieces of sausage. So mostly just a big mound of rice. Sucked.

I ordered door dash and was highly disappointed. I’m sure someone forgot to season this batch of pastalaya because it is literally tasteless. It even looks unseasoned.
2 stars only because the crawfish pies and gumbo were edible.

First time in Louisiana, so I had to try some authentic jambalaya, and The Jambalaya Shoppe did not disappoint, the crayfish cakes were amazing and the gumbo was so good, the Clerk was super helpful with her recommendations for a newbie, will definitely be back before I leave town

I explained to the employees this was my first time dining at The Jambalaya Shoppe and they explained the menu. The food is great and the prices are reasonable.

We got the jambalaya to serve to an out-state guest. It was embarrassing. Rice, chicken, and a few bits of boudin with far too much pepper. No onions, celery and bell pepper. Meat had not been browned. Rice was still white, not that rich brown I expected. It tasted like it was cooked with water, not stock.
