I do understand that people serve who they want to serve in a personally owned restaurant, but the only reason I went there is because it seemed nice and sereneThe area that has a nice little outside seating area and looks inviting,. As I walked through the door I got like the dirtiest looks and maybe because I'm an African American woman and they are not used to that, so guess what? I returned back in my car and I left it. They will never get a penny from me because I will not go to any place that makes me feel uncomfortable.

I have heard a lot about the Little Village, and I was really excited to try it. Everyone raves about the bread, but it just wasn't for me. If you like true Italian bread, dipped in olive oil, you will probably enjoy it. It was just a bit too much for us. We tried the fried deviled eggs, and they were incredible. We also had veal parmesan and eggplant parmesan. The veal was really good, maybe a tad bit overcooked around the edges but the sauce was delicious. The eggplant was not what I was expecting, it was more of an eggplant log? rather than what I expected, a slice of eggplant, fried. but still really really good. It had a nice flavor and a unique breading. The sauce was very good as well. We decided to go for our anniversary and were treated with complementary glasses of champagne. I also got a house salad because I kept seeing the salads pass and they looked really good. They don't have a traditional ranch, but they have a house dressing that is very similar. Lettuce, olives (black and green), and the dressing and this was somehow one of the best salads I've ever had. I would just like to have added croutons, but I know that's not the traditional Italian way.

We had such a lovely time at the little village -- we were told before our visit that we absolutely had to try the bread and it did not disappoint!! Appetizers and meals were all fantastic and service was helpful and attentive. Service was a bit slow at the start but it improved a lot by our second course. I probably wouldn't have noticed but we had tickets after so we're paying attention to the time. Ambiance was way better than I expected for location (both Airline vs downtown and Baton Rouge in general)...was very nice, a pleasant surprise. Really looking forward to going back!

Excellent food. Excellent service. Great night! Everything was delicious from their special bread with roasted garlic to the white chocolate bread pudding— and everything in between.

We enjoyed the overall experience. I made reservations early knowing that it would be busy on Valentine's Day. My husband and I are in our sixties but still look forward to a romantic night out. I was very disappointed when we were seated at a table in the walk way in front of the door. It was very distracting every time the front door was opened. We noticed every young couple that walked in were seated in a booth or in the nice section in the back of the restaurant. The restaurant was not full at 5 pm. I was very unhappy and asked to be moved to a more private table. I was told that the tables were reserved. I told the hostess we had a reservation also and did not appreciate where we were seated, She moved us but did not seem happy about it. I am not sure I would do this again.

We were seated quickly and and greeted as soon as we sat down. The restaurant was at full capacity. Server was very attentive and patient. We started with the half loaf appetizer, roasted garlic and red sauce. The appetizer exceeded my expectations! For our entrees we ordered the eggplant and the veal marsala. Both entrees were full of flavor which is what I would expect from an Italian restaurant. The wine list serves up some great choices to pair with your meal. Our server made sure to keep an eye on our table and was always around to clean up empty plates and refill our glasses. This made our dinner very relaxing and enjoyable. The atmosphere had a great vibe, not to loud but lively.
