We rented out The River Room for our engagement party in September 2025 and could not have asked for a better experience. The venue was perfect, set-up was easy & very accommodating, their catering was fabulous, and their staff were some of the best people I have ever worked with. Our party was loud & crowding the bar & making requests and they never skipped a beat. I’d recommend The River Room & their bartenders over & over again! We will certainly be back to celebrate again in the future.

I went here with my very well behaved service animal. The bartender told me to leave because of the dog until I informed him it was a service animal. I ordered drinks for me and a friend and left about a 20% tip. I went back to the bar to request some water for my dog and the jerk said he wasn’t required to provide water for a service animal, which is true, but how much do these people have to hate dogs to deny one water? This is a good example of why tipping should be reserved for after receiving service.

Top tier cocktails - legitimately inventive ones that innovate beyond the riffs on classics you tend to see and do so successfully. Fun, down to earth atmosphere and friendly people. I was only in Baton Rouge for a short work trip, and found myself wishing I could take this place home with me (speaking as a resident of New Orleans where we have no shortage of amazing bars).
Skellington drink was not good. Maybe use lime instead of lemon. Otherwise a relaxing place to have a drink right at a great location.

Chill place. I like that the drinks are reasonably priced, tasty, and plenty strong. A nice little spot to have some quiet time too which is a huge plus. Great spot for talking with friends. The lounge chairs are comfy. I recommend the old-fashioned.
