We really enjoyed our visit at Oxbow. The staff was very knowledgeable about the process and the product. And their rums were excellent. Definitely recommend if you are in the Baton Rouge area

I visited on 6/8/24 and had a wonderful experience! Our tour guide Jimmy was phenomenal; although he’s not from the area, he knew more history of Oxbow’s origin at Alma than most native Louisianans do. I especially enjoyed how every piece of furniture, equipment, and product had a purpose, from the repurposed cane trucks, down to the straws and sanitizers.The rum was outstanding & I was able to leave with a souvenir!

I went there Saturday 7/6/24 and had a wonderful experience! I came with a large group of family and friends to celebrate a birthday. We did a tasting, a tour of the distillery, then hung out awhile and enjoyed a couple of cocktails. We were there about 3 hours or so and enjoyed ourselves the ENTIRE time! I wasn’t much of a rum drinker before but they have some really high quality rum that changed my mind!! Our tour guide (Jimmy I believe) was phenomenal! He was great at explaining the process, answering questions and providing interesting facts about the distillery and rum in general! He then made us 2 delicious cocktails I wish I would’ve gotten a picture of because they were also beautiful!! One of which was called Fool’s Gold and the other was frozen w a dried pineapple slice and leaf on top (sorry I don’t recall the name of the 2nd lol) and I highly recommend both! Everyone there was so kind and knowledgeable!! I enjoyed myself so much I forgot to get pics but this place is definitely a win! I loved the ambiance both inside and on the patio and I will be back!!!

We visited Oxbow Rum Distillery recently and had a great tour by Jimmy. He was such a fun tour guide with lots of tidbits of information and interesting facts. He also gave us our rum tasting afterward. Jimmy knows his rum and is quite the character! It was a very open and unique atmosphere - inside and out.

This is actually been renamed as oxbow distilling. The tour is totally worth it as is the tasting. Their barrel aged Agricole and barrel aged spiced are exceptional, but very strong.

Visited this place while passing through Baton Rouge. I didn't get to take the tour, but I did hang out in the tasting room and enjoyed an absolutely delightful Ti' Punch, featuring the Oxbow Rhum Louisiane. Of course, I took home a bottle of said Rhum as well! The bartender was friendly and helpful. I hope to come back next time I'm driving through.

This place is a date night secret! My boyfriend and I had a blast!! Our guide, Cole was very down to earth and knew a ton of information! The tasting will get you smacked so I would highly recommend eating pretty good before you go! The drinks by Sal was top tier as well! I highly highly highly recommend Oxbow Rum Distillery with a a Live After 5 adventure afterwards! ❤️
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Oxbow and highly recommend a stop in to taste the delicious rums being distilled there. Jimmy was a wonderful bartender and host, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the different spirits. We opted for the full tasting and were impressed with the unique flavors of each pour. Although we didn't get to participate in a tour we were able to glimpse the impressive copper still! After our tasting we each enjoyed a specialty cocktail that was mixed perfectly and presented beautifully.

Really enjoyed this tour with my brother-in-law. Sal did a great job with us and spent extra time answering our questions, etc.Very interesting and informative. It was really neat as I realized that the Sugar Cane comes from the Alma Sugar Plantation in Lakeland, LA. 5 months ago we rescued a Dalmatian through Dante's Hope that had been found on that Plantation and her name is Alma based on where they found her.
