I’ve tried to go twice and the place is closed an hour or more early. The hours are either listed wrong or they closed early.

They steam their pulled pork… they don’t smoke it. So it hits the table utterly devoid of bark, and it looks juicy.. but it’s actually dry and flavorless and FULL OF WATER.The brisket tastes a bit like it’s been in a sous vide all day, and never got hot enough to really breakdown the connective tissue… then I’m guessing they through it in an electric smoker to get at least the appearance of bark on it… but it’s all pepper. I can’t taste the salt at all. The worst brisket crime though is they sliced it with the grain. The Mac & cheese & other sides aren’t awful, but it would take 30 seconds to make them better - green chilis on the Mac and cheese maybe a little sprinkle of toasted panko, and a healthy sprinkling of a gooey, toasted cheese. The ‘loaded baked potato salad’ is the same way. The ingredients are there but there’s been no effort - it’s all premixed together and in a multicolored scoop. It’s bland. There is huge opportunity for improvement. Photo included. The off-white mush.I think their mustard/carolina bbq sauce is actually just mustard thinned out with a little water..The service by the bar and counter staff was good if a little inattentive. This is restaurant is committing a barbecue crime. I don’t even think it can be called barbecue.

The place looked great and the atmosphere itself was good, the sides were good, the baked Mac n cheese, beans and fried okra were definitely the highlight, the meat not so much. Brisket was super soft and melted on your mouth but was lacking seasoning, and the pulled pork was just inedible. Was so full and soaked with grease and came out cold as well. One bite was like sucking grease out of a sponge. Would not recommend

Tried this place today for the first time. Such a beautiful day so we sat outside and there were outside games like connect four and a play set to play on that was gated, so they could play and us parents could relax and not worry about the kids. Also their portion sizes for kids are right on spot! Another place we ate in the past, the portion size was for like a 2 year old so we ended up sharing 1/2 of our plate with our 8 year old boys. Here that’s not the case and the price made it even better. The girl who took our order at the counter was very personal able and helpful. Definitely will be coming back.Kid-friendliness: Outside game connect four & a plays set that is gated in. Portions sizes are great for growing boys.

Servers weren’t very friendly or welcoming. Sliced brisket was dry. Brisket quesadilla and wings were good. Sliced turkey was dry also. It’s an ok place; definitely mediocre BBQ.

Cute place, they did a nice job converting an old convenience store, nice cozy feel with a well stocked bar. Patio offers a good place to sit if weather is nice. Friendly staff and good service; just wish the food was too. Definitely not worth the price or even a second visit. Tried the pulled pork, brisket, sausage, beans, and mac n cheese. The best items were the slice of white bread and mac n cheese, did not finish the rest. Really a shame because it is such a neat little place in a great location, I was hoping for something more.

The brisket was done well but unseasoned and bland. The Cajun Sausage was cooked well and again where was the seasoning. All 4 of the sauces have much to be desired. The baked beans, potato salad and mac&cheese were all very good. It needs some work before it will get more stars. Staff is very pleasant and nice.

The BBQ here is so delicious. The wonderful smoky aroma that greets you when you hit the door, the tenderness and well-seasoned flavor of the meat, and the speed of service and friendliness of the staff guarantees I'll be making a return trip. And, any bbq place that please my picky hubby is a win in my bookKid-friendliness: There's a cute jungle gym/ play area for kids

There’s a reason this place is not packed and every other place in the street isHorrible foodThe Mac and cheese tasted that of a gas stationThe beans had so much salt you could kill snails with itThe meat and bbq is so horrible absolutely salty and lack of moisture was dryer and harsher then the Sahara desertI had high hopes walking in with the cool “American style” country and patriotic feelThat was all thrown out the window for food quality

The WORST barbecue in EBR parish. I ordered through Major Menus while at work. I paid $35.87 for the brisket sandwich & 2 meat combo plate of ribs. I called Unleaded BBQ to discuss the fact that the food was disgusting while requesting a refund at the same time. I spoke with Claire. Their was no brisket sandwich. There were 2 pieces of garlic bread, 4 half pieces of dry brisket on the side & baked beans, well I'll say Chili beans because that's what the baked beans tasted like with stringy left over brisket mixed in. The ribs were totally disgusting. The Grey looking, nasty dry rub on the ribs was unforgiving not to mention the nasty collard greens & spoon bread which is half done corn bread with corn. I have never been so unsatisfied with a meal & service. It was my 1st time. I was hungry & looking forward to it. I wasted my time! I called for my refund. Claire informed me that she spoke with Major Menus regarding my refund & that my request for refund wil be honored. My card does not reflect a refund. I've tried all morning since 10:00am calling to check on my refund, but no answer from my personal cell or work phone. I was advised Claire will arrive to work for 12pm. I should have gone to SMOKE BAYOU to get my barbecue as I usually do, but since it was convenient & I didn't have to leave work I chose Unleaded & got Unleaded, NO PREMIUM. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY. Still waiting on my refund. Maybe I'll get a call now.

Wow! This place was amazing!! Big dining area and large outdoor space with playground for the kids! The quesadilla was soooo good!! You have to get the spoon bread , perfectsweet/salty ratio! The Mac n chz was good too. The tacos were okay, I’d recommend the quesadillas over the tacos. Staff was friendly and attentive!
