This place was surprisingly not busy when we went on Friday for dinner. The BBQ was great and pricing on point. Again, especially considering the location. I'd say this was definitely a hole in the wall spot that was above any expectations in service, cleanliness, and food quality. If we are ever back in New Orleans we will eat here again.

ordered pulled pork platter with mac and cheese and gris gris greens through waitr. the mac and cheese wasn't cheesy like the picture on waitr, just had shredded cheese on top. the gris gris greens weren't good (my personal opinion, they're a specialty for voodoo bbq according to their menu), the pulled pork was good and the cornbread was good. probably wouldn't spend $13 for the food again but it was okay for a first impression

The BBQ is good and good size servings. It's better to come hungry.

I ordered the Crescent City Burger and added gumbo as my side and they were great! Plus, they were on time for my majormenus delivery at work. Great job!

Food came out hot and fresh.

I hate to be negative about a restaurant, however, after feeding the reviews it appears that this place doesn't care in the first place. Next time I'll read reviews before I go. First off. Portion sizes. 17 bucks for a 2 meat combo and drink and the portion sizes are like a happy meal. Doesn't even fill up the tray. It literally looks empty. The portion size is a rip off. Second is the meat. It's heavily overcooked. Both the brisket and the pulled pork we're extremely dry. Along with that the flavor is bland to say the least. It's obvious that there is little attention that goes into the actual cooking of the product. I can and have made much better bbq on a green egg at home, so I expect them to at least be able to reach that standard. Along with the flavor and dryness the meat came out at room temp. Not warm in the least bit. It felt like it's been sitting out on the table for over an hour. With all of that said I wasn't just looking to bash this place. I came from out of my way because I wanted to try a good bbq place while in baton rouge traveling but I was highly let down. The place does have potential for a fun atmosphere as the layout is really cool, but their food and price for portions in a complete joke.

Stopped for lunch and it was great. I ordered the pulled pork sand with corn puddin' went to bathroom to wash hands and food was to my table before I came out!! The pork was delicious with mojo sauce but the bun they use was super good! I will definitely be back!

Great when short on cooking time during the week. Make sure to ask for plenty of BBQ and J*** sauce.
