So confused by the good reviews. I was looking forward to coming here after reading all of them, but really disappointed. The fish was fine, but the serving portion was really small, the lettuce was boring the dressing very uninteresting, and the atmosphere really weird for a sushi place. I won’t be back. The service was really kind though.

The food is amazing!! There’s a great variety of options, and there’s everything you could want from a sushi restaurant!! There’s sweet, savory, fried, spicy, etc. My personal favorites are mango shrimp tempura roll, Alex roll, and Kala age chicken. Not to mention how pretty all the dishes come out looking! I’ve come several times, and I’ve never been disappointed! The restaurant has a very relaxed and calming aura, and our waiter took great care of us!

So sad to post this. We have been customers for a few years. Our to go order was sent off with other customers and we were given their food. We noticed right away. We were willing to take what we had, even though their order was about $30 less than ours but they refused us a refund if we took the food. The quality has gone down but we like to support local. Unfortunately, this was the final straw. I’d avoid at all cost. There’s much better sushi establishments in the Baton Rouge area.

The food is amazing, prices are great, service is slow. This is a great place to go but expect to be there a while. The food is so fresh, explains the wait. The seats are comfortable, the AC is cool, so the wait isn't too bad.

Waka House is our favorite restaurant in BR! The food is always so good and flavorful, the service is efficient, and the staff are friendly. Even when you get takeout the food is packaged with care and tastes just as fresh. The dumplings are the best and sometimes the main thing we order! We traveled to Japan and the food here feels authentic and made with care just like in Japan! Thank you as always for giving us a great meal experience
Love the atmosphere! Our waiter was wonderful, we never had an empty glass. He was very helpful with suggestions as well. Got to meet Mr. Lee... adorable! Will definitely go again..Our favorite roll was the Picasso.

We came here for the first time and we pleasantly surprised. The food was incredible and reasonably priced. This is a cute, quaint location that we will visit again. We had the Leo Roll, Hayden Roll, Maddie Roll, and the snow crab Naruto roll.

The Napoleon roll was out of this world, bright & fresh and their crab jalapeño popper app is maybe the only fried sushi app I have ever enjoyed. The service was great. Their ponzu sauce is perfect and a must accompaniment. 10/10 can’t wait to go back
