I have tried different items like sushi rolls and beef donburi. They're all tasty and reasonably priced to me. I saw many people dining in or taking out, but I didn't have to wait whenever I visited. Overall, nice spot for hanging out while enjoying comfort food!

I've been here a few times,and the food is usually good and fair priced. Came for lunch today and it took forever, waited at least 30 minutes for a single roll. The young man working here is also quite rude...decent little spot but not a fan of this guy. Also, no music so it's uncomfortably quiet! Had to edit this to add, WORST SERVICE EVER. THIS GUY IS SO RUDE!!!!! He tossed our ticket on the table,and gave me a Styrofoam box for my ramen. Didn't seem to care if we wanted our tickets separate and ignored us.

I only ever go during lunch so I can't speak on atmosphere or service at dinner. Lunch time is chill and the waiter is always on point. I dream about the ramen and beef donburi so that's pretty much all I ever get!

The only thing that really keeps me going back to Waka House on Highland is the karadynamite roll. Otherwise, the customer service is repeatedly awful. The wait staff is not only unfriendly, but also flat out rude. Sometimes the server slams your stuff down and brings you the bill before even asking if you need or want anything else. They aren't even polite when they have to ask you a question. They say "hey! Lady Do you want wasabi?" and don't ask you the question politely. Today was my final straw... I went in to pick up a takeout order. They not only did not greet me, they started yelling in their foreign language at each other and I didn't even know what to do... was my food ready? Did they not make my order? For about 5 minutes they did not even acknowledge me or communicate that something was wrong. As good as the karadynamite roll is, I do not believe it's worth the bad service. I'll happily go to the Sherwood location. They are quite friendly over there!

Well I gave her one star simply because there's nothing I can possibly do obviously to try their food unless I'm there early in the morning every time I go there they're closed or they're closing by the way the internet's wrong they close between 12:00 and 1:00 not 2:00

Amazing little neighborhood spot. Tokutoku platter is a fantastic deal and a great way to try a few different things. Unique and classic sushi rolls. Will definitely be back for the both the service AND food.
