Mel’s Diner is an absolute gem in Bentley! We stopped in recently, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The place has that perfect small-town diner charm—warm, welcoming, and filled with friendly folks who make you feel right at home the moment you walk in.
I ordered the Chubby Checker burger, and WOW… this thing was massive and incredible. Perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, stacked high with fresh toppings, and served on a bun that held everything together like a champ. Easily one of the best—and biggest—burgers I've had anywhere in Louisiana.
Their menu is full of classic diner favorites, but what really stands out is the quality and care they put into their food. You can tell everything is made fresh, and the portions are generous. If you're hungry, this is the place to be!

A hidden gem in Grant Parish. Great place for Elvis fans! The black and white checkered floors and memorobilia are sure to invoke nostalgia. I've tried all of the burgers, which I highly recommend. The Philly cheese steak is also very good.
