Service was great. The people are friendly, but the food was really mushy and for an amount of money you pay it’s not worth it, but the servers are really cool. Especially the bartender she was really nice.

Our family of four went for an early dinner today at 4pm when the restaurant was less busy however we waited 25 minutes before anyone came to the hostess station to seat us. I ordered a pina colada and had to send it back because it tasted like blended milk and had no flavor. I asked for a blue Hawaiian instead and when they brought the new drink it still had pieces of coconut floating in it from the previous drink I had sent back. We ordered the sampler for an appetizer but when it came out the dip was burnt -literally black on top and the chips were stale. We should have left right then but we had already placed our order. My husband ordered the shrimp and seafood ensemble and the fish and coconut shrimp were cold and raw. The shrimp was so raw that it was still grey as the breading slid off of it. We showed our waiter Kevin who didn’t seem too bothered and asked if he wanted regular shrimp instead. I ordered the Joe’s classic steam pot and the crab was so over cooked it had a weird rubbery texture. I asked to speak to the manager regarding the raw food and reused glasses and was told there wasn’t one working that shift and there wasn’t anything anyone could do. So we accepted defeat, paid the $156 bill and walked out leaving the food on the table. This was such a horrible experience that we have decided to never visit this restaurant again.

Joe's Crab Shack offers a solid seafood dining experience with a fantastic view of the river and the option for outdoor seating, which adds to the charm. The food was tasty, though a bit pricey—but that’s to be expected with seafood. My daughter, who wasn’t in the mood for seafood, enjoyed the chicken Alfredo, which was surprisingly good. The crab and spinach dips are definitely a highlight and worth trying.

Service was decent, though our server seemed a bit overwhelmed, which is understandable given how busy they were. Despite that, the overall experience was positive, and we’d happily visit again.

The only halfway decent thing during our visit was the waiter. Polite and tried to correct the following issues.

Country boil came out cold and very sparse and without even a piece of shrimp. When shrimp was provided it came out appropriately steaming but had the seasoning dumped in one place directly on top.

8 year old Daughter ordered milk with her meal and was absolutely spoiled. I tried it myself to verify.

Ice cream sundaes ordered for our three girls came out as a bowl of soup. Didn't slow them down too much but not to standard.

This was a birthday dinner for our daughter and definitely lacked luster or just basic decency.

After Tonight I Have no desire to attempt a meal at this location again.

Kudos to the Balloon makers, the girls were really impressed with your skills.

Horrible my wife and I asked to sit outside. They took us out with our menus and didn’t show up again. We sat there 30 minutes no drinks no help!

Disappointing. The bartender that was serving our table was dismissive from the beginning, only took my drink order then ran off before taking my husband’s order. I had to stop her to let her know he also wanted to order a drink. Dropped off drinks, I had to stop her before she ran off again so we could order an appetizer. She came back to take our order for entrees. Husband ordered the Cajun steam pot, food came out fine in a boil bag, not a steam pot. I ordered the crab royalty boil but they brought me the flash fried Cajun snow crab. No problem, they took it back and got the “right order” ready. They then brought me some other kind of steam pot with no potatoes or egg. I tried to get the server’s attention but was ignored. I had to wait even longer to get someone to our table to let them know I either had the wrong food again or they were missing items on the entree. Assistant manager came by to tell us it did have potatoes and egg because my husband’s did, not mine. Manager came by and got the missing items cooking then brought them back to our table. Disappointing service. By the time things were “made right” the food was cold and my appetite was ruined.

I recently visited Joe's Crab Shack in Shreveport, and it was a huge disappointment. The crab I ordered was tasteless, with a sauce that was simply awful, it tasted like just bouillon. I had to pour Crystal Hot Sauce over everything to make it even remotely edible, and I ended up using nearly the entire bottle.

The only highlights of the meal were the Crystal Hot Sauce and the Splenda.

This restaurant is a far cry from what it used to be years ago; it's become a cheap and unpleasant place to eat. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for quality seafood.

They do not honor Louisiana cuisine!!!!
