Onion rings, but mine and my husband's were very greasy. Chicken fried steak, though not frozen, was really not good. Ate very little of it. I like to support local venues but this was not one worth another visit.

Second time eating lunch here with my friend, Bev. First and most important: Mama's has The Best FRESH-MADE French Fries I have ever had in my long life! Secondly, Mama's has a lovely, attentive wait staff. Outstanding menu offerings with everything from giant salads to luscious burgers to seafood poboys and Cajun pasta dishes. If you happen to be on Airline Dr. North, in Bossier City and are hungry, be sure and give them a try!

My husband and I sat in the bar to watch a football game. Started with the loaded queso, had decent flavor and a lot of crawfish, but was in a small bowl and unfortunately was cold. Didn’t think it was worth $11 for how small the bowl was. My husband had a regular lime margarita and said it was very sweet and he couldn’t taste the tequila. He ordered the oyster poboy and I ordered the chicken fried steak. When we received our food, they brought my husband the oyster platter instead. He didn’t complain and took the meal. He said it was good and it was a very full plate. My chicken fried steak was extremely small, it looked more like a large chicken finger and was cold. It did have good flavor and was decently tender. The service from bartender was okay, but definitely needs improvement. Would give it another chance, but may not sit in the bar again if ordering a full meal.

I’ve been to Mama’s one time so far and I will be going back. The bartender Autumn is awesome and very attentive. I enjoyed the vibe of the place and the regulars were very friendly. Next time I will be trying some of their food. Overall my experience there was great, I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a new bar to check out.
