We have visited to other Nicky’s restaurants and not been very happy with the food or the service. This we found out, was the original Nicky’s. The food was excellent. My husband and I both had a different types of enchiladas and the rice was especially good. It had a cheese sauce melted into the rice that made the flavor perfect. Our waitress was extremely helpful and honest about all the products they had. We were seated immediately. Our food came out within 10 minutes....
I discovered the potato dish off the appetizer menu called Mexican Skins. If you haven't tried it, I strongly recommend it. The taco meat and all the sides made this a fantastic addition to our meal!
My husband spent his teenage years in Shreveport area and he remembered Nicky's, so we gave it a try. The foid is solid, the service was above and beyond and the lunch prices were really on point.
