If you're looking for something fancy, this may not be for you. But if you're looking for a good breakfast and amazing service try them out. It's like an old school diner. We were able to sit ourselves, the service was fast and the coffee was good ! The food came out fast as well. We got our check quickly, and you pay up front. We will definitely be back for breakfast again.
I ate the pie and mmmmmmmmmmmmm. My mommy fed it to me and it was yummy. We shared the same fork and I’m gonna drink milk later. That’s all.
Traveling to Margaritaville in Bossier City La, we went by Strawn’s Eat Shop. We enjoyed a delightful breakfast at a nostalgic diner. The murals on the wall caught our attention and made for great conversation. The food was tasty and we felt like regulars even though it was our first time eating there. When in the Shreveport LA area make a point to stop in Strawn’s, you’ll be glad you did.
In and out fast, but the whole place needs to be emptied out and CLEANED UP. Everything you touch is nasty. And if you walk to the bathrooms and pass the little area that has a food service window, it’ll make you think twice before eating there. The bathroom was someone’s version of clean, but certainly not what I would want a restaurant to be. The food was a hamburger and fries. You can mess that up. My emphasis would be on the lack of cleanliness. But they are ALWAYS BUSY. Even the chairs were sticky.
The food tasted great. They make it right there in front of you. I had a 3 meat omelet and would definitely order it again.
Really enjoyed the food. The service was excellent.
Met some friends for breakfast. If you like a local feel and flavor, you should give it a try.

Good food, with the exception of the greens. I've tried them on 2 separate occasions, and they were very bland both times.

Was overcharged at register by $10. Didn't realize until we got home. What should have been a $14.50 lunch was $24.50. Sounded high, but we paid it. I added it up later. Wasn't waitress's fault.

Ordered biscuits and gravy watched waitress handle food with hands no gloves after being on phone then stretching for hair. Talking over food. Even cook getting food out of fryer with gloved hand.

Nice, locally owned shop.... but it's the strawberry pie that brings me back! Really, nothing like that pie anywhere else!

They recently updated their prices, I'm sorry but the food is not good enough to be worth the new updated prices. Lunch "specials" starting at $12 is nuts, it was like $8 last year. Also a stack of pancakes is $12? Pancakes are one of the cheapest things you can make. Inflation is real but its not this real.

The canned green beans had a touch of taste, the mustard greens were straight out the can and were seasonless. The chicken fried steak was warmed in a hurry and it was the frozen type. The mash potatoes was instant (not from scratch). The hot tea was lukewarm at best. To eat there again would be a push or possibly a great shove.
