“Sushi Gen has become our go-to spot for sushi!! They are consistent with taste, freshness, & quality! I have even stepped out of my comfort zone & tried new rolls that I never would have before (and still was not disappointed)! Tonight they have expanded into my new go-to place for noodles because their chicken yaki udon/soba is SOOOO good - if you’re looking for comfort food to cheer you up then gran an order of these!“

“First off, our server Kyoko was great ! Of course, we expected nothing less !

For those who do not know, they are back in their original location. They were at the Sonic next door for a time whilst they rebuilt. Both locations are like right next to each other, so it's easy enough to find if you've never been to the original location.

Food.... great, as well !! I had the shrimp fried rice. It is one of the best in town !
The Miso soup hits the spot ! Our drinks were refilled in a timely manner ( a small thing, yet the mark of good service).

My fave item is the Pink Lady roll. I think it's a roll ( I did not order this time as I was not very hungry).

The indoor is a wonderful, cozy atmosphere. Very much as I remember the original. Plenty of good seating and lotsa TVs if you want to watch sports. There is a bar you can sit at.

There is an cute outdoor patio.

The place is on Line Ave, right next to Chiante. There is plenty of parking. If not right up in front, there is a parking lot, too.

Wheel chair accessible. Handicap spaces right up front and easy to get in the restaurant.“

“Whole Foods has lots of vegan options in their deli section but it’s kinda been limited as of 2024 due to certain federal laws that have changed how stores can sell store made vegan food. As of right now, Whole Foods can’t make their own vegan baked goods like cookies or brownies in the actual store. Despite this, they still offer vegan sushi’s, vegan pizza slices, and vegan options in the pre made deli section. They also offer many refrigerated vegan options.“

“AWESOME FOOD !Nice Casual atmosphere. has booths and tables and a bar side sushi bar! we have lived in some big city's with great sushi restaurant's & we are huge Sushi fans.. 4 years ago we moved to a small Louisiana town with no sushi places. While shopping in Shreveport with my wife we found this gem. The rolls were awesome and so was the hibachi meal that we split . They use the correct rice and it was ultra fresh and I have to say this was the best I've had in YEARS! Kim was our server, she was fast and sweet and even helped us save $ by pointing out the specials on the Sushi menu.. Very impressed and we will come back next month!“

My only complaint was it was a little warm inside and the tables are super low. The booth was super comfy it’s just the table hits really low. But that’s all ok bc the food was just amazing!“

“Our evening at Hana yesterday was delightful. Their sushi is just fantastic! My favorite was the sweet potato tempura sushi, and my friend’s fave was the Shreveport sushi. Our waitress Selena knows everything about each type of sushi, so don’t be shy asking questions. The atmosphere is very welcoming, unusual, and interesting. 5 stars from us!“

“We love the whole presentation of our Japanese restaurant. Our granddaughter (who is autistic) sometimes has problems with too loud and sound effects is a big part in the overall experience, so tonight our chef was thoughtful & great time all while a whole table of 8 kept his attention. We love Shogun of Japan!!!“

“Ichiban has and always will be my favorite! I moved away from Shreveport a few years ago and I still daydream about the Hello Kitty roll. I came Saturday and had excellent service and the food was delicious as always. I look forward to coming back every time!“

We've been for lunch and got dinner.
Both are very good.

Service is always good and servers generally friendly.

Food is great ! I do love their fried rice ! They have a good sushi bar if that's your thing.

“Great buffet. Clean, staff ready to help and keep used dishes picked up. buffet and sushi always refreshed. Very fair prices. great gyoza and stuffed hot peppers. If you like Chinse buffets, you will love Sumo“
