Every year my husband and I travel all the way from Kentucky to Breaux bridge just for the crawfish festival. It is important to us that we immerse ourselves in the local flair including the dining. While we try new places every year the one we never deviate from is Buck & Johnny’s Zydeco Breakfast. We absolutely love everything about it. The environment, the food, the clientele, and most of all the music. Before I start let me preface this be saying that o come from a family who owned a restaurant for 24 years, so I have really high standards. First, no matter what, ALWAYS order the beignets!! They are just the best things ever! They are hot, and fresh! The breakfast menu is expansive and very cognizant of the culture that is southern Louisiana! Do yourself a favor and each order something different and share a little from everyone’s plate. You won’t be disappointed. Our waitress today was Deidre and she was on point. For the first time since 2017 they opened the event center side for overflow seating. She was the only waitress taking care of that side. Even though there were some unruly customers trying to make her life difficult, she prevailed and delivered outstanding service to that table as well. The only negative I can say is that in the past they had a signature Bloody Mary which was top shelf. They did not have that this year and it was greatly missed. I wound hope they would reincorporate that back into the menu. On a scale of 1-10. I give them an 8.5. Sincerely Angela and Todd Benton, Kentucky.

We were at the Youngsville parade and one of the owners and his family were cooking crawfish and offered us some and would not take any money. They just wanted everyone to have a good time!! Really great people!!

I went to this place a week ago for the first time, it looked appealing from outside. However, the food was disappointing, part of it was cold.

I went for the world famous zydeco breakfast I Loved the atmosphere my waitress was super nice. My ettoufee topped grits were hot and my biscuit was warm but the eggs and the bacon were cold. They did deduct it from my check so I'm super grateful they were understanding. I'm willing to give it another chance another day. ?

Dinner for two. Service was spectacular, ambiance and decor was amazing, great nostalgic atmosphere.
Swamp sticks, there version of cheese bread was great. The Breaux Bridge pasta was decent, lot of spice seemed to be missing something. Pork Ribeye steak was decent, thin but well flavored, the vegetable meddle was not very good, odd boiled color and many broccoli stalks were hard and fibrous chew, bland in flavor.
Cheesecake-Banana Fosters to go was very good, crust just right and very flavorful.
Will be back to catch the breakfast when traveling back through. Solid 4.4.
