This small place has a homey, neighborhood kind of vibe with some beautiful art on the walls. I arrived on a Friday @ 6PM and found the place almost full. After ordering and paying at the counter, I found a table in the corner and waited for my food. The food took almost an hour but was worth the wait. The fried frog legs were perfectly cooked and the onion rings were fabulous. Both would have been a bit better with a touch more seasoning but there were no leftovers on my plate. The side salad was run of the mill lettuce, diced tomato,shredded carrot, a few pieces of cucumber, but no croutons, and the small amount of dressing was barely adequate. Additional staff could probably resolve the few flaws, but the food was good enough to warrant my continued patronage.

We had the best possible time and service here. The onions rings were much more than just onion rings and the fried shrimp was immaculate. The dessert special was beignets, the best of which we’ve ever had. Love this place, love these people.

Quality of food good but burger & bread & few onion rings were not even warm!
Food was greasy and over fried. Need to change the oil. Tasted like it was fried in old oil. Not the Jeaux Biffs that I remember. New management always messes up a good thing. Also expensive but when it was good we didn't mind paying more.

The Blaise burger is delicious and the wife says the fried shrimp wraps is amazingly good. The service is great and all employees were very nice.

My wife and I are on our first trip to Louisiana. After a long back road trip from New Orleans to Lafayette, we were ready for some food and a beer. We just happened to pass this restaurant and had to turn around to come inside. As we entered the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the owner Steve. He came to our table and answered any questions we had about the menu. He offered us suggestions/recomendations, which we always trust, especially when it comes from the owner. After having local Cajun cuisine for five days, we were looking for something a little different. A burger was good with me and I went with the Blaise and the jalapeno hushpupies, both where very good. My wife got the chicken poboy and fried okra, she agrees, both were delicious. Local art is displayed on the walls and available for sale if anything catches your eye. Some were created by his daughter, she is very talented! He spent a good bit of time with us in conversation, we appreciated his insight and his food! Thanks Steve!! From the michigan fan and buckeye nut!
