I was looking for a good spot to grab lunch in Chalmette and found this place. The food was good and the service was excellent! The staff was friendly and attentive, and everything came out quickly. Stopped here for shrimp because of the reviews. I ordered fried shrimp and it comes with more French fries than you can eat and a piece of bread. Food was hot and good! Glad I stopped to try it while camping at St Bernard's State Park.

I tried the birria tacos today, they were recommended by the chef. Great customer service, super sweet owners. These birria tacos were the best I have ever had!! (That says a lot!!) Every month I will be looking for more. I want to think you for recommending them, I am soooo happy you did❤️❤️❤️

Everything was delicious! I got the combination fish and shrimp plate my mother got the Tuesday special chicken tacos and all we can do is rave about everything. The catfish was fresh and so crumbly, the chicken was beautifully seasoned and everyone in the kitchen was so nice and helpful. Food got to us fast as well. Highly recommend Dat Kitchen and we will be coming back next we are in town!

The food was fantastic. I really enjoyed the food. The restaurant was clean. The only issue I had is that they were out of a few things, and there was a lack of decore or trashcans.
