Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Way way way overpriced. Food is cold and just bland. There are way too many good BBQ places, don't waste your money here.

I went to pick up brisket kids meal. Asked for fries for the side, they were out. No problem, I asked for the potato casserole instead. Once I paid and the meal was ready, the staff hands me a bottle of Walmart water with the food. I didn’t ask for this, so I inquired about the small yellow cup. “We out of them, this what we got.”

So $9 dollars later, I have a few slices of brisket and Walmart water. If I would’ve known they were out of the things that came with the meal beforehand, I wouldn’t have ordered. This was not good value or service for the price.

I have been several times, wanting to give them a chance. The service is horrible, and although there is not of traffic, they never have anything on the menu. I went in this evening, and they only had three of the menu meats. I walked in, and no one was at the counter, and finally the “ pit master “ came out from the back, and said “yeah” where is was told they only had three of the meats on the menu. Pretty pathetic.wont go back. Will continue to pick up from the airport rd location in Slidell. This place is absolutely horrible.

I will never order from this place again the portion is to small the meat is dry an they didn't have everything I ordered I give them 5 thumbs down...

Place use to be great when they first opened. Came here today to get a quick bite to eat. Ordered the slider combo. Too pricey.. $13 with just one slider and Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese was terrible. Couldn’t taste anything. Slider was good. Drink machines weren’t working correctly so I had to drink water. Employee was very nice and helpful. I kinda felt bad because she was by herself. What happened to the place? Use to be great when they first opened..

I ordered some brisket sausage and ribs they gave me pork and chicken that was dry and I don't eat pork side items were wrong my whole order was wrong and the potatoes smelled sour

They need to shut the chalmette location down I went in to get take out 4/14/25 bkedlfor 1/2 lb brisket none 1 man behind the counter he said he only had pulled pork I told him give me that I gave him a 20.00 dollar bill it was 9.00 an some change he said they don't have the change do I have a card so we got 2 drinks an left pitiful place dirty an hot as he'll in there

I order the full rack ribs for $30.99, the Loaded fries for $12.99, the Giant Pit-Smoked Baker with beef brisket for $15.99, and the 1/2 brisket for $15.99. The ribs were a little bit too bland for me. They were out of brisket so I didn’t received 1/2 brisket but I am yet to receive a refund on it. The loaded fries were a big disappointment. It comes with Crispy, Hand Cut Fries with Brisket & Pork Chili topped with Shredded Cheese, & Green Onions now I understand they were out of brisket but I expected to receive the rest of the topping but instead I only got like 10 slices of fries with the smallest amount of cheese and was still charged $12.99 for it. Since they were the brisket the Giant Pit-Smoked Baker with beef brisket was substituted with the large Loaded Baked Potato Casserole. I’m fine with the substitution as long as it’s on the same price range but they are not the giant pit-smoked baker is $15.99 and the large potato casserole is only $5.99. Overall I had a terrible experience, I got extremely scammed and the food wasn’t even good. The presentation was bad and it tasted how it looked, bland. I don’t recommend this place at all unless you want to get scammed.

The chalmette location is absolutely amazing, Ms.Destiney was so friendly and very welcoming , definitely a 10/10 will be back the food was amazing ❤️

The manager is great.

Enjoyed my meal until I watched an employee dip his French fries into metal serving trays full of BBQ sauce. I hope it was sauce that was going to get wasted and it's just a bad look, but I won't be coming back. That is definitely not good practice by employees and not worth trying to guess if the tray was meant for customers later.

Worst service from any restaurant i have ever been to. Just plain rude employees.
