Went to eat dinner with friends and family We walked out before receiving our food due to rats. It is very obvious that the rats have been there for a while and have been eating good.
We went there on Friday night at 9 pm to eat with family and left due to rats coming out of the ceiling in the dining area. Do better guys!
This was my second time there!!!! I love it… it’s going to always be one of my go to food places, when I come to New Orleans!!!

We stopped off in Chalmette on our way home to Austin and this little hole in the wall place was just a mile from our hotel. I was immediately excited to see it because I wanted some local food beloved by locals that had something different than fast food, breakfast, or Mexican (we are Texans, we’ve got amazing Mexican cuisine at home!). Parish Diner did not disappoint with a great menu, friendly staff, and the food is amazing. We got a couple appetizers, the fried ravioli and fries with roast beef debris on it, also got some gator sausage, chicken tenders, and catfish. Every single thing we ate was delicious. I cannot overstate how good this place is. If you’re traveling through, please stop by and give them a try, you will NOT be disappointed. There are plenty of excellent places to eat in New Orleans, that’s a given, but these smaller towns surrounding the city are well worth a visit as well because I’ve had the best meal of my weeklong road trip across the Deep South right here at Parish Diner.
I’m so sorry I have no pictures. As soon as we got into our room, we opened the food and that smell hit us and we could not wait to dig in.

Beignets. We tried them all. On our way to the battlefield, we happened to pass Parish Diner and decided to stop. Good thing we did! Easily the best beignets in New Orleans. Unanimous vote!
Great service everytime I go there!

This laid-back local diner offers a diverse Cajun menu and serves breakfast all day.
With ample seating and friendly service, the unassuming building hides surprisingly good food with generous portions.
Prices are very budget-friendly too.
Top notch in the Parish. Will definitely come back. Fish and Shrimp amazing
Visiting New Orleans for my daughter's birthday. She wanted to try out this spot for dinner. Everything was on point, service and food.
This was our last visit and AGAIN the service was HORRIBLE. It appears the
kitchen has no clue how to stage tickets, food was slow coming out and when our server finally decided to bring it to us it was cold. The server seemed to have an attitude, barely spoke, didn't check on us while we ate, didn't greet us, didn't thank us. Just plopped the food and the ticket down. We do our best to support local businesses but NEVER EVER AGAIN. Oh and we sat at the bar.
I had an absolutely terrible experience at The Parish Diner. The service was painfully slow, and the staff was downright rude. Our waitress never checked on us after bringing our drinks, and despite ordering before other customers, we watched them get served while we sat there waiting—for almost an hour. The guy cleaning the tables looked like he couldn’t care less, which pretty much sums up the overall attitude of the staff. We finally had enough and walked out. I can confidently say I will never eat there again. Never. Ever.
