So this is one of my new breakfast addictions. I wandered into Tasty Cream Donuts one morning looking for something sweet, and now I’m hooked like it’s a weekly ritual. The donuts are next level, soft, fresh, and just the right amount of sweet to make you forget whatever diet you were pretending to be on.
The staff here deserve a shoutout, super friendly, fast, and always pop out from the back if there’s a line forming. No donut left behind, no customer left waiting. You can tell they actually care about keeping things moving which is rare these days.
But let’s talk about the real showstopper, the sausage, cheese, and jalapeño kolache. I’m still not sure if I’m saying that right, but my stomach doesn’t care. It’s spicy, cheesy, and buttery in all the right ways, basically the breakfast version of a mic drop. You’ll start craving it after a couple of days like it owes you money.
The shop sits in the shopping center near Chase Bank on Judge Perez Drive, tucked down toward the end. Easy to spot, plenty of parking, and that warm “welcome home” smell of donuts hits you before you even open the door. It could use more AESTHETIC if they really want to drive traffic and pandemonium but that’s not ideal for some biz.
All in all, Tasty Cream Donuts is a certified gem with great staff, great food, and the best donuts in St. Bernard Parish. If you pull up once, I promise you’ll be back, probably by next weekend. 🍩🔥

This is our preferred donut shop in the parish. The owners work here daily and are very friendly. The kolaches and apple fritters are incredible! Not the cheapest place around but the price is worth the product and service.

The parish has never had donuts this good. I can definitely say the same for the breakfast kolaches (tried both the sausage/egg/cheese and spicy boudin, 10/10). The bakes are perfect, the fillings are perfect, there's a ton of variety and neat specialty donuts, and on top of it all, it's very reasonably priced. Don't expect subpar service here- the staff are really sweet and attentive. Expect very low wait times. Go out and support these folks.
The kolaches are so freaking good. Jalapeño especially, and the donuts are nice and soft. I love this place.

As a native Texan, finding kolaches that remind me of my favorite mom and pop donut shops back home is a delight, and this place hits the mark! The jalapeño kolache is my go-to, perfectly balancing spice and flavor, though the spicy boudin is equally delicious. My kids can't get enough of the donuts, and the apple fritter is another family favorite. Highly recommend!

If you're still wasting your money at Gerald's, I feel sorry for you. This small, family owned business is blowing them out of the water. I'm not even sure if Tasty Cream fries or bakes their donuts, because there's no excess grease, but whatever they're doing, they're doing it right! The donuts are soft and cloud-like, have just the right amount of sweetness, and anytime I go to buy them, they're WARM 🤤. I brought a dozen to my family once, and now, they come from New Orleans East to get these! Very clean spot, very kind family, very much deserving of all the money and praise! Tasty Cream has become a Saturday morning staple for my household. Love them down!
