Just let me say that this little Honduran corner restaurant in Covington is a little hidden gem. The food...... the food is so fresh and delicious! Each dish that came out was better then the first. We started with the pork tamale, and then the chicharone pupusa, and then the steak hand heald tacos with the home made chimichurri sauce. And the service......the service from this young man was top notch! He and his mother has made me and my hubby returning patrons for sure!

Authentic Central American Flavor and Warm Hospitality

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this local Central American restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The authenticity of the food and the warmth of the atmosphere truly stood out.

The dishes were beautifully presented and full of vibrant flavors. The pupusas were perfectly cooked — soft on the inside with a slight crisp on the outside, packed with delicious fillings. The taco was fresh and flavorful, topped with bright pico de gallo, and the plantains were perfectly caramelized, offering just the right amount of sweetness to balance the savory items.

One of my favorites was the house sampler plate, which included a bit of everything: crisp yucca fries, golden empanadas, taquitos, and dipping sauces that complemented every bite. The presentation was excellent, and everything tasted freshly prepared.

I also enjoyed the curtido (pickled cabbage slaw) and red sauce served with the pupusas — both traditional and bursting with flavor, just as you’d expect from an authentic Salvadoran or Central American kitchen.

The service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that made the experience even better.

If you’re looking for genuine Central American cuisine made with care and passion, this spot is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Not one bad choice on the menu. Everything is flavorful and you get a nice loaded plate! Hands down the best chimimichurri tacos I've ever had and has kept me coming back to them for over 4 years now.

Food was just okay, atmosphere just okay. Liver was a little dry, onions were not sautéed enough. Will try baleadas next time.

Baleadas Express is an awesome slice of Honduras in Covington. I had the Pescado Frito Entero Tilapia and, though it can be a bit intimidating, it had quite a complex and refreshing flavor.

The service was unmatched, Savy did a great job attending to us. The atmosphere really feels like you're in a local Central American restaurant. Love it!

NEVER again!
They only give you two small tacos for $14!!!!
Never in my life at any Honduran restaurant have I paid that much for two barely filled tacos !
You can go anywhere else and they will give you 3 for $12 , definitely not giving them my money again !

Baleadas Express is a hidden gem that delivers big flavor in every bite. We tried the pupusas with chicharrón, and they were absolutely delicious—packed with flavor, melty with great cheeses, and finished with a perfectly satisfying crunch. The Supreme Breakfast with steak tasted incredibly fresh and I loved the beans it was served with. The Mexican tacos were a classic done right, simple, flavorful, and oh-so-good. The onions were slightly grilled but not overly soft and just perfect.

The freshly made tortillas, served hot, take everything to the next level. And the real star of the show? The chimichurri is bright, zesty, and the perfect complement to the steak, but let’s be real, we poured it on EVERYTHING. This spot nails authentic taste with fresh ingredients and perfect execution. Highly recommend!

Food is delicious. Several staff members do not speak English but, to me, this makes the experience interesting. I got the Carne Asada with corn fajitas and it was great.

Was dropping something off at the business next door when I saw this place. Very happy that I did. The food was delicious, authentic and full of flavor, and the service was top notch. Also, the seafood soup dish that they make on Saturdays is amazing. My whole day became unexpectedly better for having walked inside.
