Long wait for my order. Too busy. Should open on Saturdays. Your roast beef poor boy was good but I am from the deep south and prefer a gravy, slopy sandwich. The bread was awesome though. Also, to much mayo.

This place was PACKED from the time we were there 1 to 3. It takes about 30min for your food to be ready but this has got to be the best poboys we’ve EVER eaten. Do not skip this place, you won’t be disappointed.

Not what it used to be. Traveling through town and stopped to take a friend. (I used to live in Mandeville) I knew there would be a wait being a Friday, but that wasn't the issue. The shrimp on both po boys was so tough and chewy that we couldn't hardly eat it. Spice was good, bread good, shrimp were like plastic. Not worth the 45 min wait and better can be had at other places in town. It's a bummer, but won't be back.
We love Bear's so much! We stopped in recently while working on Covington and didn't even mind the wait (we walked in right at noon) because everyone there, patrons included, is so friendly! The food is amazing too!!

This was our first Po-boy and we wish we lived closer to return to this restaurant for more! We ordered the original roast beef on the recommendation of a local and it was delicious! The line was long but service was friendly and quick! It’s always good to visit a restaurant filled with local residents.
Best roast beef and shrimp poboys. Always perfect. The place stays super busy, so get there early or call in your order. The phone line will be busy, but keep trying. It's so worth it. The people here work so hard and fast to get your oder, and they're super busy for good reason. Dont forget to tip your cashier. They work so hard and never seem to stop.
