Excellent coffee and cookie cake bar. Line sipping in after my Covington appointments.
This place is so cute. It reminds me of cafés in Europe. Great pastries and desserts galore, coffee, you can have some nice lunch with chilled wine if you want. I always go here when I’m in this area.
I was in town to visit family and needed a spot to have breakfast and do some work on my laptop. The menu looked amazing and I had a hard time choosing but the cashier gave me a great recommendation. The iced coffee was strong and delicious. My food came out surprisingly quickly— hot and fresh. Easily the best veggie omelette I’ve ever had. All the veggies were perfectly sautéed, not a single one was mushy (which is amazing because it had mushrooms and zucchini which are easy to overcook!). Huge portion, I ate half and took the rest home. Quiet enough for me to get some work done as well. All of the staff was very kind and helpful. Definitely one of my new go to spots when I’m in town!
I've been here 2x now. Passed the place 100s of times and have never stopped. Even have an acquaintance that works at the one in Mandeville and never stopped by....
Very sad bc the food I had here has been pretty good. I can see why it's popular enough to have 2 restaurants in neighboring towns.
I've had the grilled fish bobo which is better than it has any right to be. The philly deluxe which was so good on my 1st visit that I also tried the ruben which was unfortunately just okay.
Plenty of seating in a rustic style setting , including outdoor seats. Great food at a great price espe if you want something more on the healthier *side
Tuscan chicken highly recommended. Low carb and delicious!

Mother’s Day brunch with my son. It was great had shrimp and grits as pistachio cake always excellent we sit outside because it wasn’t too hot and enjoyed that.
Fav all-time place. Also helps that it's so close. consistent and great every time
Everything was real good
I stopped into this place for the first time on a weekday morning and while the interiors are nice, the WiFi works, the food was decent and every single employee I encountered (except for one) was pleasant and offered genuine smiles upon passing, clearing the table, etc., I left feeling rather unsettled having been treated rather unkindly by one individual.
Having never been and unfamiliar with the offerings, I was hoping for some sort of assistance from the attendant behind the counter as I walked inside. Instead of any sort of assistance or welcoming greeting, I was left feeling inept as my questions regarding food and beverage choices were met with a sense of disgust and annoyance from the woman with a gruff persona taking orders.
To be sure, there were no other people in line when I arrived, and so I cannot equate the encounter with my holding up other guests by not already having my order ready to annunciate.
First, as I entered and approached the counter, I initiated communication by acknowledging the woman with a friendly “Hello”. In the silence that followed, I asked of the tea options since, as the restaurant name implies and in absence of any wall displayed menu, they had coffee. This triggered what would be the first of many annoyances I seemed to unintentionally bestow upon the order taker. She silently directed me to the large canisters to the left side of the counter where I was, I assume, meant to read each one. I did, and then asked if she knew which ones had caffeine. That triggered annoyance number 2. This question was answered with an aggressive turning of the canisters so she could read some hidden labels, reciting verbally those with and without caffeine.
After stating my choice of tea order, she proceeded to give me a total. To which I inquired whether there were, by chance, any hot breakfast options available to order. This triggered annoyance number 3. The response was begrudging and incredulous with a tone of, “Duh, of course we do - what kind a stupid question is that?”
At this point, I was directed to a paper menu (Aha!) this would have been helpful sooner, I think.
What really struck me was what happened after I ordered and took a seat and observed others beginning to arrive. They were clearly regulars and had a pleasant exchange with the same woman who now seemed to be overly exuding warmth and even going out of the way to loudly offer additional unsolicited pleasantries to other diners who were already present.
Ok - so we all have lives and sometimes things happen - perhaps our initial exchange was a matter of bad timing.
When it came time to receive my plate, however. the same woman brought it to my table - but with the initial gruff aggression flipped back on. The plate was smacked squarely abruptly down in front of me with a silent, wide-eyed, full face-to-face pause that dripped with attempted intimidation.
I ate - and luckily did not directly encounter her again. Another employee kindly asked if I needed anything at some point, and another kindly asked if they could clear my dishes once they were empty.
All that to say, since moving to this area recently and often seeing the parking lot full, I have no doubt this place does well - perhaps for the regulars. And perhaps my experience was a one-off or a case of mistaken identity. It won’t be something I’m willing to go back to find out.

I've never had a bad meal at Coffee Rani, unfortunately this was a first. Maybe it was a bad idea to take Alfredo pasta to go, or maybe it's just not a great dish. It was pretty clumpy and solidified with ropes of stuck together pasta. The Alfredo is definitely from a jar and it just wasn't appealing overall. Next time I'll stick to my usual.
