The 20 top table next to us received excellent service from our waitress. There was no way to even flag her down because she simply didn't look our way.
When the busser cleared our table, we had already finished eating for a good while, waiting to order dessert and more wine. We told him that we wanted to order dessert, but no one ever came to take our order or check on us. Waitress finally rushed to us when we got up to pay up front :(

Overall a great night! Our friends joined us & we had great martinis at the bar, then seated in the bar room, which was fun & lively. We loved sitting there instead of the main dining room which looked stuffy. It was a very busy Friday night & our server rushed us a bit, but prolly cause there was a large table next to us. We much prefer this location to the Mandeville location, which lacks ambiance. Dinner was superb.

Sports bar atmosphère with fine dining pricing. Not on at with top restaurants in Covington. Service was the words part. See lot be understaffed. Waited almost half an hour for glass of wine ... cale long after dinner arrived.

Our favorite home town restaurant. Never been disappointed. Always go in thinking about one of the delicious seafood entrees until a waiter walks by with one of those sizzling bone in filets and whoops I did it again. Every thing is excellent, great service. Not a casual restaurant or price point. Worth it!

In the past, we would visit Chicago and enjoy steaks at various steak restaurants. My steak at Gallaghers was as good or better than those famous Chicago sites. What a delightful experience. Also the crab meat dishes are second to none. They have my highest recommendation. You will not be disappointed.

Overall great experience, however, some things to note. We were quick to be greeted and seated but took a while to serve us the complimentary bread, they did say sorry by giving us an extra piece. Service was great, consistently checked on us, and even gave us a free piece of cake since we were celebrating my mom's birthday. Lastly, the food was okay. We got 3 16oz Ribeyes, they were all good correctly and very tender and juicy but 2 of them were extra salty and the cake was pretty dry.

Gallagher's is my go to neighborhood restaurant. Food is consistently good and the service is great.
What can I say its Gallaghers! Great steak and seafood dishes. I have never Not had a good meal at any of their locations from Covington on N Tyler Street to their delicious location in Mandeville and Slidell. I even like their newer location overlooking the Lake in Mandeville. The original Rest-A-While camp where my cousin and I were camp counselors back in the day. Highly recommend

I wanted fine dining for my birthday. I was disappointed. I ordered the trio appetizer. There was a sauce all over everything. The sauce tasted like mayonnaise. For dinner I ordered bacon wrapped shrimp. A huge disappointment it was so over done the shrimp was dry and hard. My husband’s steak was outstanding!! Over all for me it was not worth going back unless I want a steak.

You can't go wrong at gallaghers grill. The food is spectacular. John at the bar makes a spectacular drink. My cosmo was perfect. Not the red syrup so many have become used to. My pecan broiled cat fish was excellent.
