Y'all aren't going to come back from the purchase of this place if you don't change. China city will put you under for sure. We have been loyal customers for several years, live right down the street, but since the new owners.....no thanks. Food is terrible now. Got our usual General Tso and pepper chicken. Completely different. General Tso has no spice. No sauce at all. That red sauce in the picture is my own because it was so bland. Soggy, breaded chicken. Look how clean that container is.....zero sauce. Pepper chicken was no different except it had 4 pieces of vegetables in it. Y'all doing a disservice now instead of a service.

I took my grandkids here for something different. We were the only ones there and I know why!!! The food was stone cold, very little product in each container. The egg drop soup had a huge clump in the ladle of what looked like a build up of old soup. The cleanliness was totally horrible. I just sat there thinking dang they gonna want money from me for this!!!! I regretted the idea of going there the longer I sat there. The only reason they got a one star was bc I don't think it would let me leave zero....never again. This place needs to just shutdown.

I usually don’t write unfavorable reviews because it’s a waste of my time; However the service and the food was so bad I needed to get it out. The Golden Dragon Buffet on 1553 Gause Blvd. Slidell , LA 70458 has changed to the worst dining experience I’ve ever had, honestly it was pretty bad. 1. The host skipped over my wife to seat two guys that came in after her but my wife explained to me the host thought the 4 of us were all together. Understood because I held the door open for my wife and allowed the men to go in before me. 2. The location has always been a little cramped but it seems to have added more tables making it very hard to get to your table carrying food. 3. Our server took our drink orders but brought it to the table in disposable foam cups and did not have lemons with the water as requested. 4. The server brought the regular plastic cups that these places use now days rather than glass but it seemed to me she served the lemon slices with her bare hands: note my wife said “she had the lemon slices on a cup lid”. 5. The utensils did not include a knife. 6. The quality of the food was not up to par as is for those types dining experiences. Without getting in to details of each menu items I will mention only the two food items that I had which were good; fried fish and coconut tarts. The coffee cake was average. 7. The server didn’t clear our table until I made eye contact with her, even as she was standing next to our table until. I didn’t take it personally as I was watching her work her tables and she really only seemed to pay attention to people at other stations and people ready to leave. The server seemed to always be mumbling I thought it was just me but after checking out my wife noticed the server left her station to come to the register and noticed we didn’t leave a tip and walked away mumbling. I had stepped out to get the car and was hoping we didn’t leave a tip. That location should consider investing in a water filtration system. I don’t live far from there and have been there enough times to know people change but I will not go back for a while and give them time to correct the many problems I encountered.

Was the worst buffet I have ever tried to eat. I could kick myself for not turning around and walking out. Everything was terrible. Food had been sitting there too long, was either cold or hard. First and last time I will ever set foot in there. It doesn’t one star.

When im at checkout the price says $10.00 on the screen yall add the tax tell me its $10.80 verbally an that the final price is on the receipt. Thats a very shady way to do business pay the money get a cash reguster that works corretly.

From Hell I write. My bowls boil with an intensity I wish to have never known. My stomach churns and burns with the ferocity of a rabid cheetah. The pain has left me immobile in bed yet a torrent of chocolate waves drips beneath me, I'm left to consider if I should let the damn break over the side of my deck as there is no latrine I can reach. One small plate is costing me far more than $15.
