***Update***
Not only were they quick to respond and fix the issue, the kindness was beyond comparison to any other company. That is the only reason we decided to return. We finally returned on Monday and the service and food was astounding. We got Oyster orleans, snaw crab claws in an Orleans sauce, shrimp and grits with a side of red beans, 2 red fish orleans with broccoli, 2 loaded potatoes, asparagus, and filet orleans with red beans and loaded mashed potatoes. The food was amazing. Hot, fresh, and quickly out to our table.

I'm very disappointed with our visit tonight. This was my fiance's favorite restaurant so we chose this for his birthday dinner. We ordered appetizers and drinks as soon we got seated. After a 20 minute wait we got our drinks and ordered our food. A hour later the food came cold and no appetizer. It completely ruined his birthday. Very very disappointed.

Went for an anniversary luncheon and it was an amazing time. We were seated quickly and the waitress was kind enough to take pictures of us. It not like the other Half Shell houses, it a bit tighter a little smaller and more intimate setting. The food was amazing, I've never been let down by any of the half shell restaurants. There was a mix up with my food initially but the waitress quickly handled the situation and kept my wife and my good vibe rolling! The atmosphere would've probably been better had it be dinner but lunch was ehhhh . Overall, its tough to give 5s but this is one of those it can be all 5s but I'm not that critical but a 4.9 overall. Angel Wings burbon/whiskey. Server recommended it and it was phenomenal.

We come here every year for my birthday, and this visit was the best one yet! The waiter and (I believe) the manager were absolutely incredible. We had our son and our 10-month-old daughter with us. I I asked about ordering her some sweet potatoes. Since their butter contains honey I wanted to make sure it was not in the sweet potatoes. They aren’t made in-house, so they didn’t have the ingredient details right away, but they immediately went above and beyond to help. They even offered to run next door to the grocery store or prepare something special just for her so she could have something safe to eat. Their kindness and care meant so much to us…truly the best service ever! We’ll definitely keep coming back every year.

The waitress didn't know what ingredients the food had and didn't bother to go to the kitchen to ask before we ate. She was asked three times about crawfish in the cornbread dressing and three times she said no. The manager on duty came to the table after we finished our meal and said there was crawfish in the dressing. I spent the next 6 hours in emergency with IVs, pills and on monitors... Don't trust the waitress ask a manager if you have questions about the food...

Granted, our party was 8 people and we were one of three tables occupied out of about 25 tables. The place was empty! It took 45 minutes for our food to be served! I would hate to be here when they’re busy. Not coming back or recommending.

Dined at Half Shell Oyster House recently with my wife for our anniversary. We had been here before so we were very excited to go back. The ambience and decorations were amazing. The food was great. The drinks were pretty good. However, everything else about our service was absolutely terrible, I’m sad to say. Our waitress Amy didn’t come to the table until almost 10 minutes after we were sat. She stood behind the bar on her phone or talking to other coworkers when we needed her. Salads came out with entrees. She seemed very annoyed and unfriendly the entire time. And she did not offer us dessert or coffee. Additionally, there was no manager to be seen or heard from the entire time we were there (about 1.5 hours). And there were dirty tables all over the restaurant just sitting there while waiters and waitresses just walked by them. The oyster shuckers were not wearing gloves and using their bare hands to shuck, handle, and cook the oysters. And the bathroom reeked of urine, was obviously VERY dirty, and the trash was overflowing. We were VERY disappointed with the upkeep of the facility and especially our service! We will not be returning and we will be letting our family and friends know about our experience. This is truly sad because this place used to be very good. The change in management has to be the downfall of this place. Corporate should really do a better job at making sure these managers and staff are doing what they should be doing, because plainly and clearly they are NOT.

EXCELLENT SERVICE! EXCELLENT FOOD! AND VERY FAMILY ORIENTED ATMOSPHERE!! I LOVE DINING INSIDE A RESTAURANT THAT IS ALSO VERY CLEAN AND SMELLS GOOD! MY FAMILY AND I WILL BE BACK. This location is way better than the one in Hattiesburg, MS! 👍

We used to love coming here. The sides are outstanding. Sweet Potato Creme Brûlée heavenly.
So we arrived at about 2:45. My husband ordered the Seafood Pasta. Very small portion. The crabmeat on top was not local for sure. It was ok.
I had soup and salad (house salad w house vinaigrette which I have always liked). Salad has changed since the last time I was here.
Soup was still good.
Side of fried okra crispy and fresh. Cheese grits side creamy and good. Not saying we won’t be back but definitely a step down from previous visits here.
I notice there are several poor reviews for this formerly excellent restaurant. Perhaps some secret shopper diners with food experience could help spiff the food back up.
Also, there were 4 tables in the restaurant and it took a really, really long time to get our food. Salad should have come out immediately. Server was very nice so that was no issue. Seems to be a kitchen problem.
