This place is one of our regular spots to go on date night me and the wife love it .. awesome drinks and food excellent customer service.

Dined at Half Shell Oyster House recently with my wife for our anniversary. We had been here before so we were very excited to go back. The ambience and decorations were amazing. The food was great. The drinks were pretty good. However, everything else about our service was absolutely terrible, I’m sad to say. Our waitress Amy didn’t come to the table until almost 10 minutes after we were sat. She stood behind the bar on her phone or talking to other coworkers when we needed her. Salads came out with entrees. She seemed very annoyed and unfriendly the entire time. And she did not offer us dessert or coffee. Additionally, there was no manager to be seen or heard from the entire time we were there (about 1.5 hours). And there were dirty tables all over the restaurant just sitting there while waiters and waitresses just walked by them. The oyster shuckers were not wearing gloves and using their bare hands to shuck, handle, and cook the oysters. And the bathroom reeked of urine, was obviously VERY dirty, and the trash was overflowing. We were VERY disappointed with the upkeep of the facility and especially our service! We will not be returning and we will be letting our family and friends know about our experience. This is truly sad because this place used to be very good. The change in management has to be the downfall of this place. Corporate should really do a better job at making sure these managers and staff are doing what they should be doing, because plainly and clearly they are NOT.

EXCELLENT SERVICE! EXCELLENT FOOD! AND VERY FAMILY ORIENTED ATMOSPHERE!! I LOVE DINING INSIDE A RESTAURANT THAT IS ALSO VERY CLEAN AND SMELLS GOOD! MY FAMILY AND I WILL BE BACK. This location is way better than the one in Hattiesburg, MS! 👍

This is my favorite place to relax and have some oysters. The food is delicious, staff is nice, and it always looks clean.

We used to love coming here. The sides are outstanding. Sweet Potato Creme Brûlée heavenly.
So we arrived at about 2:45. My husband ordered the Seafood Pasta. Very small portion. The crabmeat on top was not local for sure. It was ok.
I had soup and salad (house salad w house vinaigrette which I have always liked). Salad has changed since the last time I was here.
Soup was still good.
Side of fried okra crispy and fresh. Cheese grits side creamy and good. Not saying we won’t be back but definitely a step down from previous visits here.
I notice there are several poor reviews for this formerly excellent restaurant. Perhaps some secret shopper diners with food experience could help spiff the food back up.
Also, there were 4 tables in the restaurant and it took a really, really long time to get our food. Salad should have come out immediately. Server was very nice so that was no issue. Seems to be a kitchen problem.

Our son and daughter-in-law took us out. My husband loved his half show oysters my dish was great and we enjoyed the whole meal

Great drinks at the bar. We went on a Tuesday and the oysters were buy a dozen get half dozen free. We had the char grilled. They were fresh shucked in front of us and cooked on an open flame. For me I would like a little extra garlic butter on top as a last touch but these were healthier without being smothered in garlic butter. The glutton in me just loves garlic butter soooo...I will request a little extra next time. With extra garlic....yummy

Grilled Oysters were very dry and did not seem fresh. Crab claws were a bowl of mush. Sweet potato creme brulee was not creme brulee. Have never had grilled oysters that bad.

Very good service but mediocre oysters. Pineapple jalapeño margarita is very good. Argentine Red shrimp are overcooked and full of grit. My wife could hear my crunching across the table. Crab cake was ok, but too much topping - had a rather fishy taste. Sweet potato creme is over rated - nothing more than mashed sweet potato.

Oysters were VERY small. Service was AWFUL! Will not go again! Also very noisy

The oyster sampler and oyster Orleans were absolutely amazing when we tried them on our trip. Would definitely recommend. Their Cajun alfredo and Cinnamon roll bread pudding we're also to die for.
