Marcello's is one of my favorites. We had the veal Parmesan and it was amazing. Our server was great too.

All around great service, I had the short rib which was delicious and very tender, and my wife had the veal, which also was very delicious. We selected a bottle of wine from their inventory which is done personally at the racks so it gives you an opportunity to peruse all bottles. As I was making my selection I noticed the wine is reasonably priced, so you can enjoy a nice bottle of wine without overpaying. If you get the opportunity you won't be disappointed with Marcello's

Wonderful dinner! We love going to Marcello's & it had been a while since we went. My lasagna was fantastic. My husband's pork cheek dish was delicious too. We also had spiced apple panna cotta, that was nice.

 we were seated and one of the small dining rooms that had only 2 4 top tables in it. Consequently, it was very quiet and the service seemed extra personal. We will request one of the small dining rooms for future visits to Marcello's.

It was our first time going to Marcello's and we were really looking forward to it until this happened . The hostess called me at 3:07 to confirm our 5 PM reservation, which was super considerate of her. But then she dropped a bombshell - we had to be outta there by 7 PM, which I thought was a tad rude, especially since we hadn't even walked in the door yet. So I not so politely pointed out that it's the kitchen and wait staff's job to keep things moving. We wrapped up dinner and made our exit at 6:25. And wouldn't you know it, our table was free and clear a whole 35 minutes before the dreaded deadline. Aside from that little hiccup and my cold soup, our first visit to this restaurant was pretty darn positive. I don't think we'll go back. 🤣 We love the restaurants we go to and have great relationships with our waiters and this was a first for us! Our waitress, Olivia, was wonderful!

We had a nice dinner. The food was excellent as was the service and drinks. The only thing I didn't care for was when they reconfirmed my reservations I was told that they needed our table by 8:00 we had a 6:00 reservation. I have never encountered that before. I felt like I was always checking the time.

Superb, while simple Italian dishes, expertly prepared. We both enjoyed the poached pear salad, and my wife had the linguini Tretoni, and I had the veal Palermo. Both were delightful. Our server, Steven, is a pleasure and skilled.

Price is more than fair, especially given the qualit of the food. Service was extremely attentive and knowledgable,
Marcello's is one of the top restaurants in Covington and the Northshore area. It's an upscale Italian bistro with a home-cooked flair. The restaurant is in an old building, and the place radiates with home-style warmth.

Food was excellent, however our waiter was not. He only came to our table to take our order and to deliver our bill. He never once asked how we were, how our meal was, or if we needed anything. He depended on the other staff to deliver our courses, refill our waters, etc. This was our first time at Marcello's and I expected better from such a nice restaurant serving such delicious food.

My husband and I had a rare date night and we do not venture out to different restaurants much. I am a big fan of lasagna and decided to try an Italian restaurant we haven’t been to yet. Marcello’s did not disappoint. The lasagna was amazing! My husband ordered the chicken Parmesan, again, it was amazing! Zero leftovers came home with us. The red sauce for each plate had the best taste and there is no such thing as too much cheese! Our server was a young lady, unfortunately I cannot remember her name, but she has long brown hair and this is only her 2nd week. She did phenomenal! She was extremely personable and made us laugh. (We had a conversation about how we both love the corner pieces of brownies.) I hope we have her again when we come back because we will be back!

The food was good and fairly reasonable, however the server we had was disappointing. He seemed annoyed at the outset when I asked for a simple drink modification, then again on an entree. He didn't hide it at all. Again it was surprising as the requests were very simple. His demeanor/energy very much detracted from our experience. Then there was the ambience, which is normally unobtrusive, but on this night there was very loud and rowdy talking about politics from the table next to us. Normally I would not hold that against the restaurant except in this case it was ongoing with that table's server. (Seemed egged on by her??) The dining area is already small and pretty intimate so engaging in that right next to another seated table — and for so long—seemed like a rather discourteous choice. A Saturday night of good food and just overall relaxation was what we were looking for from the experience and that is not what we endured.
