I recently visited Mattina Bella Restaurant in Covington, and it exceeded every expectation. I ordered the steak and eggs, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The steak was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and easily one of the best breakfast dishes I have ever had.
What truly elevated the experience was our incredible waitress, Katie. We had a large group of eight, yet she managed everything flawlessly. She was attentive without ever hovering, handled separate checks with a smile, and consistently made sure we had everything we needed. Her kindness and professionalism stood out from the moment we sat down. Katie is genuinely one of the best servers I have ever had anywhere.
If you are in Covington and want a fantastic meal with top-tier service, Mattina Bella is the place to go. I will absolutely be returning.

Food was decent, and priced well. The atmosphere was a tad odd as there was no specific vibe that you could figure out by the decor. We went for brunch around 11 on a Sunday and it was very busy, small wait. Very noisy inside due to how close each table was to the others.

Nothing fancy, good breakfast spot for the usual. Our server was prompt and courteous. Food was average and not extraordinary, and I’m sure my salsa was good old Picante from the grocery store. Unfortunately drip coffee was mediocre and weak like they could benefit from adding more grinds to the water ratio or a different brand/local roaster.

Way too loud in the restaurant. The place felt dirty. Tried to be chic, but overpriced for eggs and pancakes. Parking is terrible. Not a big selection of plates with more than one meat on it, unless you ordered side orders which add more to the bill. Outdoor seating was not a patient it was the sidewalk next to construction. Yummy.

I rarely post food reviews, but this one made me run to the review section. Excellent food 10 out of 10 rating from the spinach and artichoke dip, to the waffles, to the omelettes, to the pancakes… Even the grits were amazing! I can’t wait to go back and try something from their lunch menu. 😍🤩

I was SO excited to try this place. I just knew it would be excellent. I was wrong. I got the traditional Eggs Benedict which comes with house potatoes (home fries). The meal arrived looking very good. Eggs were poached perfect, nice runny yolk. I eagerly took a bite and was underwhelmed. Not a hint of lemon in the hollandaise sauce, altogether bland and boring. The potatoes had NO seasoning on them, I couldn't even taste or see salt. The entire meal was void of any imagination or creativity. I am so very dissapointed and will not be returning.
