Picked up a traditional yesterday and didn’t have the normal freshness or flavor this year. Very disappointed. Earlier purchased praline and cream cheese and had no cream cheese, what’s happened this year???
not happy with Nonna's kingcake this year. The dough Not fluffy at all. seemed like it was stale. over all taste... not good. so very disappointed because this use to be my favorite. 25$ for a plain sm. Not worth the $.
My first time in In the store in Covington Nonna’s Randazzo bakery was everything. I will take the ride from the NO to Covington anytime.

Quality of their products has become increasing sparse over the past few months. I’ve brought this up to their quality control team several times and it’s always brushed off. Our economy is too tight for consumers to feel like their money is wasted.
Came here to buy a birthday cake. Bought a German Chocolate cake for $50 and it was disgusting and cheap. Definitely not hand made. It looked pretty but the cake was dry and flavorless and there was an insane amount cheap icing throughout. The pre made box cakes you buy at the grocery store to bake yourself and tubs of frosting are 100x better than whatever that was.

This bakery has a variety of different pastries and baked goods, including several types of cakes. We went in Tuesday, 9/9, looking for a half chocolate, half lemon doberge cake for our niece for a family gathering Thursday afternoon. She lives in the middle east and was visiting with a couple of her kids and really has missed that type of cake, which originated in New Orleans and isn't always easy to find. They had one there but the woman suggested of course that we order one for Thursday, which we did. It was absolutely delicious, obviously quite fresh, and we all agreed that it was the best one we had ever had ( and over the years we've had plenty), with both flavors equally delicious. The cake and the pudding fillings were equally good, and very well made and presented. My niece was excited and apparently sampled some several times over the next 24 hrs, and by the next day it was gone. I can HIGHLY recommend it!
The woman waiting on us was quite friendly and accommodating. We had multiple questions about some of their offerings, which she was happy to answer, and she was patient and not pushy. They were limited in pies available that day, but she commented that they tend to have more in store later in the fall and one can always order one.
ALSO, you can also order their large patty shells, which we have had in the past and always enjoyed them.
They also serve a healthy lunch, or one can have coffee or tea and eat a pastry right in the bakery/ cafe.

Not the worst bakery but they are not good at the basics. Went there to get some simple items from the display case. There was one person in front of me with one employee helping her. I stood there for 12 minutes before one of the three people from the back finally offered me some help. The croissants were so buttery that it left a greasy film on our mouths and the glazed donut was the worst of any I have tried in this area. The staff did seem very excited about the nail salon opening next door...

My husband and I got our wedding cake from here and I cannot say how pleased we were! It was absolutely beautiful and delicious! We got so many compliments on how well it was decorated ad how moist it was! We were very happy with our cake and would definitely recommend using Randazzo's!
Lauren was extremely helpful with our Wedding Cake Taste testing! The cakes have been ordered.
I am from Alabama and live in Colorado. I have been ordering king cakes for years. I found Nonna, I years ago online because of the reviews. This year, however, UPS did not deliver my cake in a timely matter. I was angry and disappointed. As I planned a Mardi Gras lunch at my job. I called and spoke with Krytal on Monday, as their custom they were closed a few days after Mardi Gras, too allow their team much needed rest. I told her my issue was not with them, but UPS. I relayed the interaction I had with UPS and them dropping the ball. I felt heard by Krystal. I just want to thank ya'll so much for going above and beyond. I know Mardi Gras season is over. And know how tirelessly everyone works all year long to prepare for the season. Just know the efforts of you, and the team does not go unnoticed. I haven't been to New Orleans since 2006. So the fact that I can order king cakes, Camellia beans, Cafe Du Monde coffee, and Pattons hot sausage makes me feel like I am right there every time. I appreciate ya'll so much.
Sincerely,
a Bama girl living the Mile High life in the Denver metro area.
