First time trying and I shouldn't have because now I want to give them all my money all the time!! So good! I ordered through Uber Eats because I'm working from home today. I got a mild Big Bird Combo - Bone In - dark meat with mac & cheese and a drink. I also ordered seasoned fries and an Oreo roll. I have leftovers for dinner tonight and am already looking forward to it.

Tonight my wife & I went here after shopping at Sam's. The young lady greeted us as soon as we walked in the door. My wife ordered two piece mild white meat with a side of onion rings. I ordered three piece spicy dark meat with the mash potato's. Rolls came the meals and we got a free order of chicken nuggets with everything that we ordered. I really like the albums and album covers on the walls. The music was really nice listening to while we ate our meals. The sauces are ok at best, the buffalo sauce is too vingerery, the signature sauce tasted like they used thousand island dressing as the base. It was not even close comparison, to Raising Cane's Sauce! The BEST sauce was the SMOKED KETCHUP. The chicken tasted like it was burnt/overcooked. The spicy chicken was not even spicy at all. The mashed potatoes with the gumbo gravy is supposed to be spicy. We were told, but it was not even close to being spicy. My wife ate it with no problem. Normally she complains about spicy food. That is why she did not why she did not order it. She wishes that someone would've said the onion rings were thick or thin. They were overly thick and very heavily battered. The biscuits are deep fried, my biscuit was overly saturated in grease not good. Check out the attached pics. If Popeyes fried chicken was on that side of town, Red Bird Fried Chicken would already be out of business. The owners of Red Bird need to go take lessons on how to do chicken from Popeyes or Krispy Krunchy Chicken.

Been a while since I ate at Red Bird and it is much better now. The chicken has always been great, but now they don't charge extra for fries. Two pieces with fries, roll and drink is now $8.75 which is very reasonable in a post-biden economy.

We were looking some fried chicken other than the usual places, so we decided to give it a try. To start with, when we walked in, we were not greeted, but instead, the man behind the counter just stood there and waited for us to order. He wasn't very friendly and seemed to be bothered that a family of 7 came in to eat. When we asked questions about the different sides, he again seemed a bit annoyed. The chicken, fries and onion rings were good. The fried dinner rolls sounded good, but being they're fried, felt like you were biting into a ball of oil.The atmosphere was pretty cool, but the floors were sticky

My first impression was that this is a very new business trying to get off the ground. I say that to set expectations for my review. I ordered a 3 piece white with fries. The chicken is cooked perfectly. The crust was crispy and the meat was juicy. The flavor of the batter was the only disappointment. It was very bland. The Cajun fries were nothing special but the roll was good. Their sauce options were ketchup, smoky ketchup, a very watery buffalo sauce, and a house sauce. I didn't try the house sauce and didn't really like the smoky ketchup. I ended up sticking with the ketchup. Service took 16 minutes to bring the food when only one other table was occupied at 6pm on a Saturday night. I'm not complaining about the wait just wondering what the wait would be if they had more people in the restaurant. Ambiance was a bit dark and they have vinyl records hung on the wall. I was disappointed that my booth seat had a view into the kitchen and the first thing I see is a microwave. If the restaurant is still open in 6 months, I'll try it again to see if they have ironed out the wrinkles. I wish them the best.

I found this place because I was getting beignets at the store next door. The chicken was good, the seasoned fries, chicken and sausage gumbo was good along with the smokey ketchup and signature sauce.

The best part of the experience was the crust on the chicken and the smoked ketchup. Growing up here, we are familiar with our style of battered fried chicken, especially those of us that have visited Chicken Shack in Baton Rouge, Brother's, or any of the heavy hitting cluck places around New Orleans. The "spicy" chicken was not spicy in the least. What this spot lacks is the most important ingredient...love. I would revisit only if in the area however I would not travel specifically for the soul-less chicken.

This was some of the worst chicken I've had...there's no flavor. The chicken was cooked fantastic but the flavor is obsolete. The onion rings were THE WORST ONION RINGS I've ever had. The batter was terrible and flavorless. The batter was falling off the onion rings and raw. Not good at all. The spicy chicken sandwich was cooked well but also flavorless. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND

My first time here. This rating only applies to the chicken. Had a 3 piece combo and the chicken was way overcooked, very greasy and although I ordered spicy, the chicken was bland. Was also very overpriced. They used more of a coating versus a breading. Not a good experience.

My wife has the 2 piece chicken and I had the 3 tender. Chicken was very flavorful, but a little on the greasy side. Overall, very good!
