Excellent service! Very nice car experience while we waited to sit at our table. The chef made us special falafel that wasn't on the dinner menu because it was our anniversary and requested it... dinner was fantastic! Food was superb!
Mark was incredible. He was an amazing server, kind, attentive & informative. Food and ambience was great!
The food is great - an eclectic mix of Israeli fare with influences from other ideas tern cuisines. The service was prompt and efficient, but actually, a little too efficient. After a short wait, the first course - salad - arrived, followed quickly by mushroom hummus and Brussels sprouts. That was fine. But even though the waiter noticed we were still working on the salad when he brought the second course, and promised to slow down the main course, nevertheless, it arrived shortly. Unfortunately, when we got around to it, it had cooled, taking away from its taste and texture. Next time we'll proceed more slowly with our order, rather than ordering everything at the start.
Everything was great! Only issue we had was that we made a 7:30 reservation without realizing they closed at 8pm so we felt a little uncomfortable knowing we were holding up the team. They were lovely though and the food was delicious.
We had a great time celebrating my wife's 50th birthday. Both the food and the service were top notch.
Wait staff was very attentive. Food was excellent. Didn't feel rushed in any way. Hope to go back soon.
Excellent dining experience. Service was extremely attentive, and the food was delicious. Loved the smoked labneh and the little gem salad with chicken kabob were wonderful.
Recently timed here for the first time with some friends who had been there before. Honestly, I was disappointed. I've eaten at the sister restaurant, but the food and Service just didn't match up here. All of the food came out lukewarm with the exception of the entrées and I will say that was a great dish. I had the salmon and harissa couscous, and it was excellent. Everything else was just average and the service was averaged to below average.
We were visiting Covington on a whim and happened to park near Tavi on our way to grab a beer. The place looked so charming we couldn't resist, we ended up making a lunch reservation and we're glad we did. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious, our server was kind and attentive, and the drink we ordered was yummy too! We'd definitely recommend it and will be coming back!
Europeans trying to cook middle eastern food. Not a good combo.

I've been a couple of times, and the care and effort are clear in every dish. You could make a meal off the starters easily, and there are tons of vegetarian friendly options, which my girlfriend appreciated. Will be back!

Tavi has been consistently delicious. I have brought family and friends there and they have all really enjoyed the food! The fried chicken hummus is the best I've ever had.
Tavi is definitely a unique culinary experience. The menu itself is eclectic: it is difficult to tell the ethnic origin of any particular dish other than it is middle-eastern. The spices and garnishments were uncommon, but not so uncommon to be too exotic for a normal palette. All of the dishes came out quick and were well prepared. Our server recommended the fried chicken hummus as it was their best selling dish. Without a doubt, it was a good recommendation. The only negative comment that I have, and this is a negative comment about most restaurants today, is that iced tea was off. It wasn't a flavored ice tea. It just wasn't the traditional southern iced tea. On the other hand, the Moroccan hot mint tea was a worthy replacement.
I couldn't help but notice that this place only had a 4.3 rating on Google. After taking the time to read the negative reviews, one can only conclude that the reviews say more about the person leaving the review than the restaurant. The one-star reviews were about minor and petty issues thus suggesting overly demanding and entitled reviewers. No one should want customers like that.

I ordered (for pickup) two “shared plate” items from the menu, two hummus plates. I paid the surcharge of additional money for “extra pita” for both. I was shocked to see that each hummus comes with one pita only and “extra pita” meant just one more pita. I called to make sure I hadn’t had a mistake in my order and I had not.
I am beseeching management to rethink this ratio of hummus to pita as it gives the feeling that Tavi is stingy and corporate.
I used Tavi for a graduation event (catering) and the generosity at that time 1.5 years ago made me think that they would be a long time favorite. Things have really changed. sadly.
