Reserved a private room for a party of 8 birthday. When we arrived they said the other party has not finished and we can wait or sit at another table. We waited 45 minutes and finally said to seat us at a table that was a bit private. Nope, they sat us in the middle of the restaurant that was so loud we could not hear each other. The appetizers and entrees can out at the same time. My steak which was supposed to be medium rare was just about well done, the duck tasted like something you'd buy frozen and warm up in the microwave. For a $1,200 dinner it was terrible; never again.

The food was excellent and the ambiance was delightful. The service was irratic snd slow. The team waiting was confusing. We had to hold our menus in our laps while we finished our appetizers, we finally asked someone to send our waiter so we could order. That took 20 minutes. It took 40 minutes to get coffee and dessert. Our waiter said they ran out of hot water because they were melting ice for the bar so we “have to wait” until that was completed. The bill took another 20 minutes to arrive. All the elements were there for a fine dining experience except the service.
The overall experience at the Dakota was amazing! It's a beautiful, intimate restaurant with excellent customer service. Several areas for photo ops. I completely cleaned my plate!

From the moment we walked in, everything about our visit was wonderful! The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared, and the service was equally outstanding!! Sherrie and Jennifer were attentive, kind, and so genuine. You can tell the staff truly care about creating a great experience for every guest that comes through!
We had dined here once before and didn’t have the best experience at that time, but the manager, Joey, immediately reached out with such sincerity and encouraged us to come back. We’re so glad we did, because this time the experience could not have been more different. They truly went above and beyond, not just to make up for the past, but because it’s clear they take pride in treating every guest well.
We’re so happy we gave this place another chance!! It was absolutely worth it, and we’ll definitely be back!! Honestly with how wonderful of an experience we had tonight, we wish we hadn’t waited so long to try it again! Can’t wait for next time!
