This was one of the best meals I have enjoyed in a long time. Starting with the staff, everyone was courteous and on their game. Our waitress was the right mix of attentive and discreet. We did not ever have a moment to look around before she was there to top off drinks, but she gave us space as we needed, too.

The chef provided a fantastic meal. Both appetizer and main were well presented and excellently seasoned. Chef worked around my food allergy and didn't sacrifice flavor or presentation. Dessert was an excellent wrap up to a great experience.

Went out tonight on a special date with my wife and not only was the food absolutely excellent, the atmosphere was top-notch and the service was flawless. Sean took great care of us during the evening and was extremely genuine. The manager Joey, was such a kind professional, stopping by our table to greet us, and wish us a good evening. We would both highly recommend Dakota and in fact, cannot wait to go back!

We had reservations at Dakota restaurant for dinner last night and we were treated very rudely by the young man in a suit at the front desk. He had a beard and a shaved head. my husband wears orthopedic sandals and he told him he couldn't eat there because men were not allowed in the restaurant with open toe shoes. Nowhere did we see this stated. He finally agreed to let us eat there but he said that he called Kenny his boss and Kenny said we can only eat here tonight and never again unless my husband wears closed toe shoes. You realize my husband is almost 86 and needs to wear his orthopedic sandals. Total discrimination against older people. The young lady who finally seated us with the menu told him he had to take off his surgical cap. He just had surgery to his head and he has to wear it. She finally relented when she found out it was a medical issue. This was total discrimination and I will tell everyone about this restaurant. We've eaten here several times and never had this problem before. We used to eat at the old restaurant when they first opened up and we were regular customers. It was an awful experience. The weird thing is there were people in dirty tennis shoes and shorts and they did not give them any problem. Patricia and Robert Stelz, 401 North Florida Street, Covington Louisiana.

Surprised the steak was overcooked. Requested medium and most definitely well. Lobster and Brie soup was wonderful. Cocktails were awesome. Veal was alright but the soft shell crab and desserts were top notch!

This is a wonderful restaurant and we used to go there frequently. I will say, however that prices have gone way up since COVID and everything is ala cart so instead of paying for a plate of food you paying extra for veggies and other sides. The restaurant is beautiful, food is good and staff knowledgeable but it is very over priced.

Fabulous food, fabulous service and an amazing ambiance. (Love the new location!) We eat out a lot, all over the US and around the world and this is one of our favorite restaurants (top 10). Who would expect such a gem, off of the beaten path in Covington? The only downside is that it's a six hour drive from our home so we can't get here often enough.

We had an enjoyable dinner with siblings and spouses. Chardonnay wine list very cumbersome and had difficulty finding a decent bottle. The way Jennifer took care of our brother in law for his birthday was outstanding!

Everything was amazing! Food, drinks, service & ambiance. This was to celebrate my husband's birthday & his boss had a bottle of champagne waiting for us as a surprise. However, the waitress didn't know this was to celebrate my husband's birthday even tho I put it in this open table reservation notes. But all was amazing!! Can't wait to go back.

This was our first visit at the new location. We were very impressed with the design, decor, and ambiance! The food was very very good! Service was awesome as well. Will definitely revisit

Dakota is our go to restaurant. Ordered a Mai Tai from the seasonal Tiki menu and when the drink came, it was empty, but for ice. The lobster pot stickers were ok. The lobster Mac and Cheese was outstanding. When the bar is high, I guess everyone gets an off night. We will be back!

Our lunch at the Dakota was memorable. From the food, to the service, and the ambiance, you just can't get any better. The Dakota is first class all the way, my absolute favorite.
