The food was excellent and the ambiance was delightful. The service was irratic snd slow. The team waiting was confusing. We had to hold our menus in our laps while we finished our appetizers, we finally asked someone to send our waiter so we could order. That took 20 minutes. It took 40 minutes to get coffee and dessert. Our waiter said they ran out of hot water because they were melting ice for the bar so we “have to wait” until that was completed. The bill took another 20 minutes to arrive. All the elements were there for a fine dining experience except the service.

The overall experience at the Dakota was amazing! It's a beautiful, intimate restaurant with excellent customer service. Several areas for photo ops. I completely cleaned my plate!

We loved that the tables were spaced to give you some privacy and the atmosphere was quiet so you could enjoy talking to each other at the table. The cocktails were very good. The service and food was outstanding. We had the peppercorn filet mignon and salmon meuniere. The sides that came with the dish were delicious. I can't wait to go back!

Perfect start to White Linen night. We chose Dakota because it is in walking distance to the event. Bonus that the vibe is perfect, the drinks are always amazing and the food and service is top notch. If you are on the Northshore, you will have a great experience at The Dakota.
