Our server was given too many tables to effectively take care of us in a timely manner. She was also forgetful and we had to ask repeatedly for tea, etc. Having said that, she was a hard worker. The food was average today. Atmosphere is always perfect.

Best scones anywhere. Other food varies in quality but mostly good. Service slow. Welsh rarebit is on the menu, but we've tried to order it on two separate occasions and been told it's not available. Atmosphere is fabulous, and the tea varieties are amazing.

Rating this establishment a 1 star is more than what is deserved in my opinion.

Arrived to a Bridal Tea that i looked forward to for months to celebrate with a bride and her family. Reservations for the event were made months in advance. Imagine 30 people crammed into the room as you walk in the front doors. Unacceptable! Pure embarrassment for the English Tea room. Every guest was packed in to where you couldn’t even feel comfortable as the chairs were touching each other in some circumstances. Made for a very uncomfortable experience as guests did not know each other in some instances. The teas were not delivered to all of the party. I asked several different times for the food and teas to be placed near our section of the table. If i was not to have asked no one on our end of the table would have received food nor tea at certain times. At one point food was delivered to our table and then removed and brought to another party after it was placed on our parties table initially. Unacceptable! Food and service were very poor. I looked forward to such a special event that was ruined by very poor management. My advice is don’t waste your money on this establishment. No return phone calls to the person who paid for tea. Shane on you English Tea room and the owners. You should make it right for the Bride and her mother. We have pictures so before you book your event there i’ll be glad to show you how you will be packed in like sardines in a can! So disappointed as i heard great things prior to my experience.

I have never been so disappointed and appalled as I was at this event! We were hosting a bridal tea for my granddaughter’s bridal shower. It was all planned months prior and the number of guests was made clear to the manager. When we arrived they were not ready for the group of 30 that was invited to the event. Most guests waited outside on the porch as employees shuffled things around attempting to “make space” for our guests that we paid to have there. They were moving tables and bumping into people and we waited in the mist of the chaos all the while being rudely spoken to as they “ordered” us to move out of their way! Eventually we were seated like a bunch of sardines and the wait for anything to eat or drink began! There were not enough servers for this large party and food came out slowly and sparingly. There were not mother of the bride was filling champagne glasses in the absence of our server! So very sad! The quality of food was mediocre and mostly sat on the serving tray uneaten. My granddaughters bridal tea was a complete disappointment and she deserved so much better! We were told the owners would be in touch to discuss the unacceptable incident but of course that has not happened either. Makes you realize how insignificant customer satisfaction is to them!

Parking: There is only parking on the street and there are very few spots to park there. Some of our guests had to park blocks away and walk to the Tea Room

I visited the Tearoom late Saturday afternoon while my child was in a class nearby. I was seated outside and I had to wait a little while for a server. I was in no rush and unworried, but the front of the house manager, Billy, was so kind. He noticed I had been waiting and came to take my order. He delivered my tea and personally checked back to make sure everything was ok. His thoughtfulness went above and beyond, and it really warmed my heart. The food and drink excellent, and it is matched by the consideration and courtesy of the staff. I have always loved the Tearoom, and I am even more of a fan after this experience. Highly recommend visiting.

Fun place to spend an afternoon with friends and family . Very good tea selection and scones to die for! Beautiful little shops right in the asking distance such as the Chifforobe. Delightful owner and staff. Antique shops and restaurants nearby. Easy to find, easy to get to.. similar to smaller tea rooms in Great Britain☺️

We do an annual Christmas tea here and it always is exceptional. Madison is the most excellent server. Very cheerful, pleasant and calmly handled an active large party. We love the entire experience.

Sandwiches were good not exactly as I have had in London but close. Wide variety of teas and like the way they were served - brewed by the time they were at the table or very close to completion.

Parking: We met at 2:30 so parking was probably easier.

I have been to English Tea Room numerous times through the years and have always had a great experience, but that was not the case today. The food and our tea selection was delicious but I cant say the same for the atmosphere. The staff was loud with talking and music playing. It really ruined the normal relaxing ambiance that I have been so acustomed to. It did calm down as more customers came but no excuse prior to that.
