It was fantastic!! The gnocchi is delicious! My husband had the lamb shake and said it was cooked perfectly, it wasn't terribly busy, our server was super attentive. Overall great experience.
I ate at The Gloriette on Friday January 30, 2026. I ordered the burger off the lunch menu and the burger was pretty good however the hand cut fries I received were not fresh and they were kind of greasy. My friend ordered the swordfish and I tasted the swordfish and it was fairly tasty but I expected the fish to be more tasty than it was. It appears to me lunches on Friday are more about the three martini's special on Fridays you get more than the overall quality of the food. Maybe the dinner menu might be better I don't know because I only ate lunch there once.
Nice ambience and tables spaciously spaced to allow for conversation. Menu was nice But somewhat limited due to New Year's Eve considerations. Food was good. Service was excellent. Overall, well satisfied and will definitely return
We dined at Gloriette for Christmas dinner and we couldn't have had a better experience. The menu options for the holiday meal were perfect and the food was excellent. Our waiter was fun and personable and provided excellent service. It was a memorable holiday meal.
This was our first experience with The Gloriette. Small, intimate restaurant with nice ambiance. The server, Kala, was soft spoken but very cordial and attentive. The food, in a word, was amazing! We went on Christmas Day to a planned menu of options. Both my husband and I ordered the Shrimp appetizer (on the order of BBQ shrimp). OMG! They were amazing! I could have had two orders of those and called it a day. I ordered the Short Rib with Grits and Collard Greens. I cleaned my plate! The beef was soooo tender, and the greens had a sweet taste to them. I couldn't figure out what that taste was, but they were incredible, and the grits were tasty as well. For dessert, I had the Bread Pudding. It was good, but I would have liked it a little warmer. My husband had the Prime Rib (cooked medium) with a twice baked potato. It was cooked correctly and seasoned well. The potato was very good, he said. For dessert, he had the Pecan Pie with a scoop of ice cream. He enjoyed the taste but also wished that the pie itself had been warmed enough to start melting the ice cream in typical Pecan Pie a la mode fashion. All in all, an extremely pleasant and enjoyable experience, and will definitely go again.
It was a fixed price Christmas day menu. The food was super and the service was excellent.
Awesomeness
Food quality OK, service excellent, but ambience poor due to Christmas music played on a sound system that was muffled. It was therefore more noise than music.
Excellent food, excellent drinks and service, absolutely gorgeous interior design and ambiance. 10’s across the board, can’t wait to go back tbh!
Very disappointing experience. We brought our baby to see Santa, only to find out upon arrival that it was a ticketed event only, something that was not advertised anywhere on the hotels website and when we tried to click for more info it just refreshed the page and didn’t bring us to any link to purchase tickets. After making the trip with a baby, we were turned away, and no one made any effort to help, explain options, or offer any kind of solution. We were told to try and “buy resale tickets on Facebook.” The staff were also unfriendly and unwelcoming. Overall, it felt poorly communicated and poorly handled. We won’t be returning.

This place is great! We went on a whim and were very pleasantly surprised. might even like it more than Del Porto, which is excellent. I can't believe someone left a three-star review because they didn't wish them a happy anniversary. Ridiculous behavior.
We stayed at the Southern Hotel in Covington and decided to try The Gloriette since it was cold out and many places were closed on Sunday. We’re not usually fans of hotel restaurants, but this turned out to be one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.
The atmosphere is cozy, the service was excellent, attentive without being intrusive, and the food was outstanding from start to finish. The croissant dinner rolls with butter set the tone, and the apple cinnamon bread pudding at the end was incredible.
We ordered the crispy cauliflower, shaved Brussels sprouts salad, and the cornmeal-crusted drum with grits and collard greens. Everything was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. But the standout dish was the ricotta gnocchi with honey and chili delicata squash, fried sage, citrus brown butter, and pecan crumble. The balance of flavors and textures was unforgettable. I’ll definitely try recreating it at home, but I doubt I’ll come close.
The menu has something for everyone, including vegetarian options, and this restaurant is worth a detour even if you’re not staying at the hotel.
Highly recommend.
First Friday for lunch at the Gloriette. We were first attracted to the $0.25 Martini menu that we'd seen in a social media post. We were seated quickly at a window table that we'd requested on our reservation. The ambiance was very nice, but the music was a bit loud, which the staff immediately lowered when we asked. The wait staff was very friendly & knowledgeable about the menu. Two of our party ordered the Roasted shrimp . Beautiful presentation and delicious, but for $18, maybe at least bread on the side or a small side salad could be included. I had the burger ($22), cooked as requested, delicious with the caramelized onions, toasted/buttered brioche bun and a side of fries. Nolan, the food & beverage manager checked in with a couple times and to solicit our input. Great guy breathing fresh ideas to the Gloriette ( in the Southern Hotel). BTW- the Martini's were very good too!
Excellent service and food! Made our one year anniversary special, we had gotten a dessert that was a little over-frozen and when we told the waitress/hostess out of honesty she removed it from the bill, which she did not have to do nor were we trying to push for this. Overall such a great experience and we will be back!
Quiet, beautiful atmosphere with friendly and personable staff. Food was impeccable. Hugo Spritz to start and had the Pan Seared Gulf Fish and my husband had the Louisiana Crawfish Cavatelli for our entree. Blueberry Ice Box Cake and coffee for dessert. Highly recommend.
