Disappointed. Food, club and half roast poboy, took over an hour to be delivered. Place was halfway full.Food was room temp And barely anything on it, very sad.Used to go to The Shack when they were in the gas station. Back then it was great. Now sad. Can't say I'll be back.

Food is delicious. I ordered marinated shrimp skewers, shrimp and grits, and chocolate cake to go. Cost was $53.59. The shrimp skewer is really good but $23.00 for 6 shrimp, rice, and asparagus is way overpriced. The prices will keep me from coming back.
I absolutely loved the fish tacos. Dear chef(s) working on 2/26/2022: the handmade corn tortillas were so delicious, and the fish was battered and seasond perfectly. The slaw, gauc, and black bean puree sent me to food heaven. I wish I lived closer, I would be a regular. I will be going out of my way to stop by this place on my travels to and from Baton Rouge, I hope to try more dishes. And my husband loved the pork tacos with pineapple slaw too. You stole our hearts! ❤❤❤

Where to start? First, there is not another restaurant on the Northshore that is doing this. The food is not just good; it is memorable. The atmosphere is comfortable. Waitstaff superbly recite the specials and are knowledgeable about the menu. (You can confidently follow their advice—thank you, Laura). Don’t let the “temporary” menu fool you—they are making the best out of these challenging times, and there is nothing on this menu that is not a keeper. There is a full service bar with a bartender who generously pours specialty drinks and draft beers with equal speed. (A Paloma made with grapefruit vodka and Lunazul—yes!!!) It is a perfect place for families with children. I noticed that the children’s menu had lots of choices. The adult portions are so large that you can easily spare a grilled shrimp or asparagus, or some green rice, and introduce the kiddies to new tastes. Eat here now!
