We stopped by this little cafe for breakfast on our way from New Orleans to Houston. It's a little off the beaten track...maybe 5 minutes off the interstate. But I'm glad we made a little detour. I had their 2 egg platter with bacon which was 3 pieces of very good thick cut bacon. I chose the hash browns instead of grits. The hash browns were the pre-formed square like you get at McDonald's. We had a wonderful time visiting with family. Had relatives that came in from out of state and firehouse cafe was our meeting place. The service was spectacular as well as the hostess. Thanks for a wonderful evening everyone.

I got the pork steak plate and susage plate. It came with brownie,garlic bread,baked beans,rice dressing. There's also potato salad that comes with it. This was my first time here and this place you can't beat for the price of $11 for a plate. You receive a full complete plate.
