Delicious food. I had the grilled chicken club on jalapeño bread.
Great service! Ate all my hamburger steak with gravy, onions, and mushrooms. And fries. Bouille with cake for dessert. Fantastic but I’m gonf. 😂 Thank you Mommie Jo’s.

Mommie Jo's is a highly-rated, second generation owned restaurant that serves excellent fried local seafood and not overly spicy boiled seafood. The menu includes plate lunches with a main meal and a small dessert, and options for salads with popcorn fried or grilled shrimp. The steak night is magnificent. The desserts, including cakes, are made by the sister of the husband and children of Mommie Jo. The wife of the son, who is a high school graduate of 40 years ago, is the current operator of the restaurant and learned how to run it from her mother-in-law. The service is always excellent with friendly young Cajun girls. The diner has a homey decor, clean restrooms, and a baked potato that is highly praised. There are around twelve tables, and possibly counter-top seating. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive.
